A Bothell lawyer filed a complaint with the Washington State Public Disclosure Commission against City Council candidate Tris Samberg on Oct. 24. The complaint alleges four PDC violations but Samberg said that only one of the complaints is valid and was an oversight from her 2011 campaign.

The issue is valid because Samberg has made a centerpiece of her campaign that Bothell needs to adopt NEW ethics laws meanwhile she was unable to comply with the most basic requirements of EXISTING state law. The other centerpiece of her campaign is that she has great attention to detail and is fiscally conservative, but she failed to file required financial forms for a year and half and then blames the PDC for her mistakes.

The councilmembers and planning commissioners who know her and served with her are overwhelmingly supporting her opponent. She is an abrasive person who (as the article demonstrates) is a hypocrite to boot. The last time she ran she lost by 26%, after this article she'll be lucky get that.
