Last night I could not sleep because there was a cop car on the street corner with his lights on and once in a while would sound his siron. He was sitting out there for quite some time and occassionaly drove down the street and back again. I could not find any information about what was going on. Does anyone have any idea what this was all about?

It was about 1 am right...till about 3... There were Sherrifs, and LPD up and down 36th ave too... I wondered out to the street to watch this spectacle for about 15 minutes...Police were zipping up and down 36th and in and out of every side road up to 196th and clear down to 164th... One officer saw me and quickly pulled up to where I stood...He asked me if I lived at my residence...and then told me to get back inside that they had a K-9 unit out...
Whatever was going on I didnt get anything from the LPDs website or catch anything in the local news...I just hope they got whatever they were after.

Thanks for the info! It's weird we can't find out what is going on in our neighborhood...

yeah youd figure with what mustve been 30 or so law enforcement vehicles running around at least four blocks east west and more than thirty streets north south...that it would have made the news somewhere...
have you tried calling the department?

Lynnwood police seek burglary pair
LYNNWOOD -- Police swarmed a Lynnwood neighborhood early Tuesday morning looking for a burglary suspect.
No one was caught, Lynnwood police spokeswoman Shannon Sessions said.
Someone called 911 about 1 a.m. after returning home to the 18100 block of 36th Avenue W. The person had heard a noise and reported seeing two people leaving out the back of the house, Sessions said. A window in the home was broken.
Police cordoned off the area and used a dog to try to find the suspects.
"The burglar wasn't caught during that search," Sessions said.
The police search woke up several people in the neighborhood, she said.
She said when people are at home and see police working, they should stay inside with the doors locked. Venturing outside may interfere with officers.
Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to call the Lynnwood police.
