My friend Paula Beard was only a customer flipping a burger while the cook and owner were busy when the police were present. She is innocent and is not an employee of Thunder Holler. She is now in paper and in news and is trying to understand what the hell is going on!!!!! She is not an employee of Thunder Holler and should not have been charged with anything. Glad I wasn't there maybe I would be on front page of the paper and the local six news.

Are you the same "Tequila Shelia" that used to go out with Hoss around 18 years ago?

If you are living in a dry county and you are at a resturant that is serving alcohol you know that is illegal and you should not be in an establishment like that. While your friend may not have worked there, she knew full and well what was going on there and that we live in a dry county and that it is illegal. If she didn't want her name in the paper she should not have be a patron of an establishment that was obviously breaking the law.

Yes we closed J. Edwards. Economy too tough for upscale restaurant that the community could not support. Thunder Holler is a family restaurant property on 37 acres serving "The Best Burgers", soft serve ice cream, BBQ etc. We also cater private parties such as weddings, birthday parties, church group and corporate outings. We do not and did not sell beer or alcohol. We had private party after hours on that Saturday, eating chicken and playing yard games. To make an honest judgement come out and try our food and atmosphere. It's a beautiful place in the country! For information and hours visit us at www.thunderholler.com . Closed on Mondays

Ed,
Sorry you had to close down. Thats the economy for ya these days. If that was a private party serving beer why was there a tip for them to go check it out? Isnt anyone allowed to do that on a private party?

We were inviting friends at a local business in Murray and someone overheard us and I guess was under the assumption it was a Thunder Holler event. I thought you could have beer at a private party, if not there will be a lot more people getting cited.

For five years I have had to hear crap like "stuff goes on". If serving great food and drink is a problem then you are right. As far as what people do when they leave a place that's their choice. J Edwards has never had a violation of any sort in the five in a half years that we were there. Not many other restauramts can say that! Jealous people throw stones. We served the best food west KY ever had!
