When I was driving into murray early this morning I had to pull off in the little blood river access area just past new concord to pee. I chugged a bunch of coffee cause it is so damn cold before sunrise. I had my headlights on but it was just light enough to see like fifty feet into the woods. I shut the door and stood next to the driver side of my truck and started my business and I heard a bunch of noise off the passenger side om front of the truck. It sounded like a buck waking up and shaking himself off but there isn't any spot in there that a deer would find comfortable or safe. Whatever it was wasn't moving fast but was crunching around and didn't seem to be going in any particular direction. I finished up and walked around the front of my truck and stood there with my hands in my pockets looking out trying to see what was making so much noise. The first thing i saw was breath, it was kinda highlighted by my headlights, whatever this was, it was staring back at me probably wondering the same thing I was. I stood there for a minute not moving just freezing my ass off and this thing did the same. Since it wasn't very exciting I let out a hiss sound like the one I used to use to let my horse know he better watch out cause he was pissing me off. This damn creature about doubled in size, I assume it stood up, like it was squatting the whole time we were looking at each other. I about shit and spun around and ran back around the front of my truck and hopped in. I put the brights on and slammed the truck in reverse and tried to get a better look st this thing. It ran parallel to the road for a sec then darted off into the woods. If it wasn't bigfoot then somebody was wearing a damn bigfoot costume. Has anybody seen anything like this anywhere around here? Am I missing some local legend or is somebody out messing around?

So I guess you believe in Santa and Jesus and claim you are a sasquatch. Thank you for your wisdom and devotion of your time to tell me that you squat in the woods. Squatting is for chicks man. I wouldn't have posted just to get bullshit answers from people like you, but thanks, great description.

If Bigfoot were real, why hasn't one ever been caught, seen CLEARLY, or remains been found?

I believe you! I live out that way. There is something down here in our woods. Sometimes if I go outside at night I can hear this weird screaming noise way off in the woods. It's not a coyote or anything like that. It's eerie sounding and it sends chills down my spine. And before someone tries to post some smart ass remark its not some meth head out in the woods making dope.
You know there was something spotted in the Cypress Springs area just like what you are describing. There is another forum on here where it was posted. I don't remember what it was called pretty sure it was earlier this year cause they found huge footprints in the bank of the lake while the water was down. I know I would never go in the woods alone unarmed. Lol

This region is full of tales and folklore on the possibilities of a bigfoot. People can deny, the possible exsientce all they want. I for one believe it is possible such a creature exists. We make discoveries everyday on creatures we never knew exsisted or ones we thought extinct. I would love to hear more information and possible exchange email regarding this encounter both from the witness and area residents. Would you be willing to exchange information.

See this is kind of what I thought might happen. I don't live out that way but drive through there quite a bit, early mornings that section of road is cold, i ride a motorcycle and the damn temp drops and my sunglasses always fog up. Its just a creepy kind of spot. All the bullshit on TV aside, Whatever I saw was a hell of a lot bigger than me, not afraid either, but it really didn't seem like it cared much about me neither. Not sure what to do now but I sure am glad someone agrees with me. I think its public land or at least used by murray state for research purposes, I should set up a trail cam in there.

The American Indians, back before there were mailman or newspaper, believed in bigfoot or sasquatch, etc. Tribes from each part of modern US and Canada had their own legend of the hairy wild man.

I do believe in bigfoot, after all, science told us the Celocanth ahd been extinct for a few hundred thousand years until one was caught by a fisherman.

Now the native legend may come from our days before crossing the Bering straight. There was a 9 foot primate called Gigantopithecus, proven by fossil evidence. This creature existed the same time as man. Those crossing the bering straight may have brought stories of this creature.

Of course, it could be real.

I loath tv shows about bf, but it seems plausible. The lack of fossils is one major detractor to proof though. There is evidence though that our ancestors buried thier dead before evolving to homo sapiens.

The gigantopithicus is cool!

Actually if some of you watched the major news channels or looked on yahoo about a month ago it was big news reported that a woman actually has DNA of a "Sasquatch" and it was a human that bred with a hybrid. It has been around for 15,000 years and this woman has proved it and has the DNA she released it and the DNA placed that analyzed the DNA proved it. Soo maybe you guys need to do some re-search before you criticize people..

I believe it is very possIble you saw one. There have been stories for years of Bigfoot around that area. The Trigg Co area also has stories of people seeing Bigfoot. We have the lake and wilderness, everything a Bigfoot would need. Maybe u should contact the Bigfoot researchers from the Animal Planet station.

And no one can capture one because it's half human it's not stupid, and no one finds any bones because once again there like a human they burry their spieces(sp). Lot's of people have had there own sightings and own stories and of course some of them are far out, but until you've had your own expierence then you won't understand. I mean it's been proven that there is a Sasquatch. Just look it up on Yahoo it was proven by some lady out of state she actually has the DNA, so people don't judge someone or hurt there feelings just because there asking if anyone else has had the expierence. I beg you people that wanna criticize just do you some re-search and you will see. Your already on the Internet by posting on this website so take some time out of your life's that are so perfect and go on Yahoo and look it up! There not going to put lies on big news channels and on yahoo and broadcast they have DNA if there wasn't no such thing. I honestly in my opinion am glad this thing rather stay hidden, I sure wouldn't like to come up on one of them!! I don't think it'd be to pretty.. But I guess for some of you to believe it I reckon it should just come right up in your backyards and play where you children play, huh?! Some of you people really amaze me!!! Lmbo
You mean the woman who owns the DNA company that claims to have found it? Publicity stunt on the lost novel level. CNN even ridiculed these "scientists" live on air.
