It is true. Today's paper makes the financial status look better but it won't stay that way. Only about half of the projected number of jobs have been eliminated. People worrying about their jobs is not fair. They should just go ahead and do it, get it over with.

The hospital has been doing a lot of business lately, so maybe by taking all of our money away and patients actually paying some of their bills, we may survive. Stop expecting free healthcare!! Pay your bills!!!

Yes, stop blaming the government and start blaming the worthless people that sit on their ass and make excuses about why they can't work. If you think social anxiety is a disability, go be an after hours janitor!!!

Let's get into healthcare costs. Where one Tylenol costs $30 and a cafeteria tray of food costs $100. I have insurance and still find the costs disgusting.
oxymoron

Nobody has been charged $30 for Tylenol, the are $2.50, and food trays are $7.25. Check your itemized bill, rumors that are false do not solve anything.

Just a sad situation. Many people don't have health insurance because they cannot afford it. If they can't afford insurance, in most cases they can't afford to pay their medical bills. I wouldn't be so quick to judge people when we might be the one in the same situation next. Just my opinion. It's a scary time for many not knowing.

Most hospitals, dr offices, and other health care facilities will no longer accept your Humana, Anthem, or your Medicaid cards. You will not be able to find a place that will take your insurance. Good luck for all those insured people cannot find any place to that will provide them services.

Someone sounds like a pissy little bitch. I treat people with disorders ranging from mild to severe. It can be disabling. That you say something so outlandishly ignorant says you lack education and any sense about you.
The real issue with MCCH is two fold.
One that the CEO lacks any sense of how to run MCCH. He spends most of his time just trying to play catch up that he doesn't get any real work done.
Two that the managed care groups KY signed a deal with haven't paid up in over a year. That when they do it is often less than 1/15th the value of what was given. That's if they pay. KY Spirit hasn't ever made a payment. But they did take over 100 million from the state. Payed out less than 2 million and are suing the state for more.

You are what? A low level cook. Maybe a clerk. You are not a nurse. There is no way anyone with training would say something so willfully ignorant. Be ashamed of yourself young person.

You also understand that everyone pays for disability insurance? Insurance. Key word. You cannot collect it if you never paid into it. These people more than not have worked for years until a event crippled them. We have vets that collect from suffering P.T.S.D. to those that have degrees in a wide array of fields that have had total breakdowns. These people aren't just given a check. It takes years to apply and be accepted and even then most, over 94% of such claims are turned down. Those that are have real and dangerous issues. Shame on you.

Most of that which hasn't been paid is from insurance companies and not from people who are looking for free rides.
There are some of those kinds of people. But very very few.

Not sure yet. But it is being talked about right now. Along with another 10-20 lay offs. Some departments are over budget and need to be trimmed. You will know by the first week of may.
