Is he the only one who takes medical cards? I get a medical card but am a college grad and hard worker.. so not really opening that can of worms.. but would definately agree he seems like a scam. More like a used car dealer and very full of himself. I dropped him after the 3rd visit. Id rather deal with back problems then have to set through a sales meeting and all the hot-headness. I say hes a quack.

He preaches all of this shit about his kids not taking medicine and health. He is just as fat as any other man and it's just a scam. The types of people you witness walking inside are the absolute white trash and low life's that he has tricked. That's why health insurance companies don't honor much Chricopractic cAre because they know about scam artists like this guy!!!!

1) Makes a big deal out of "shutting down the office early" for your "one on one personal consultation". Encourages you to bring family concerned with your health.
To the contrary, you are herded into a room full of other suckers, and given a poorly rehearsed sermon about inward healing and the dangers of drugs/surgery. Literally mentions referring others every conversation you have.

2)Misspellings all over the office. Signs, Power point slides, some were just sad. Professional looking poster says "Maddisonville, KY".

3) Feels like a pyramid scheme/used car salesman/ part time preacher. Invokes emotion by telling stories of crippled children, bedridden elderly, and his own "overcoming paralysis story"

4)Pushes referrals every conversation you have. Pushy calls/voice-mails/letters if you don't reschedule RIGHT AWAY

5) Wishy Washy on what Insurance will cover. We were told 4 times initially, and when hesitant about price were told they would speak to their "guy" and thought maybe it could be bumped to 10 visits. Feels like double dipping insurance, and patient payments.

6) Ambiguous x rays. Assistant said xrays on computer were someone elses and not to worry, only to be told they were in fact mine just moments later by the "Dr." Assistant also brought in a printed x ray and put on back-light, Dr. says this is an example of a healthy neck. Why would they have to bring in that copy? Shouldn't that just be up always? The whole thing just feels eerie and like a skit of playing doctor's office.

7) Always telling you how well he's treating you by waving x ray fees/consultation, and how they will work with you on price. Price will be dropped from 50 to 30 if you seem doubtful, across town only charges 20. Assistant stated no two patients pay the same amount... right.

8)Tells story about "miss emily" elderly lady he saved from being bedridden, flip flopped on age, length of treatment etc. Proudly states he made house visits every week for years, 10 seconds later talks about her coming in to the office every week. Proudly says shes on there poster in the lobby. Poster in lobby of elderly lady, but named AMELIA, NOT EMILY.

9) Researched "Life university" and they are notorious for being scammy-pushy and have had their accreditation taken several times. Students are taught to be salesman first, and taught to approach patients at other healthcare providers. Chiro have highest rate of student debt default in all medical fields, with life university having the highest rate within Chiropractics. OBVIOUSLY THE BEST OF THE BEST.

10) Brags about how healthy whole family is, and how his children (all in their early 20's) have not needed medicine or healthcare. Whole family, including Dr are significantly obese. Plays up how 3 children, and brother are all in the business, or in school for it. I guess to comfort you and build confidence in his successes.

11) In first visit, you're asked about what issues YOU THINK YOU HAVE. Magically, those are the issues that come back positive on your test.

12)Did not inform during speech, or before adjustment NECK MANIPULATION CAN CAUSE STROKE. THIS IS REQUIRED. Found out from google later that night.

13) I'm honestly just glad my family and I made it through with no permanent damage, and will never go back. I hate to say it, but I think i've been ruined on Chiro as a health field in one visit.

14) Assistants are overly nice to the point of being fake, and Dr. is short and disinterested in anything but his sermon. Google says average adjustment lasts 8-10 minutes, and ours couldn't have been more than 2 minutes on the table. Touched butt in unnecessary manner to signal to roll over.

15) Assistant made sure to remind him I was worried about scoliosis, like it was another selling point. Why would she have to remind him if he had my xrays?

At 18, he tried to convince me that I had a "broken neck" and showed me a terrifying xray, and said he would only be able to fix it for $3k....thank god I didn't fall for it and get taken advantage of!! I have never had any health issues, but after my consultation he had me convinced I was in horrible condition. Cancelled my appointment, and 5 years later I'm doing just fine!

He attempted to convinced me That I was sick & I hAve never had one bit of health problems. The only customers you see go into his facility are the white trash & poor. He prays upon those weak people to continue his scam & will sadly use the Good Lord as a marketing tool....Tina Carter is a great one to go to.

I've been going to Dr. Heskett for 14 yrs and yes he is quick and brief but he has helped me tremenduosly. The reason you see what you cal white trash going in is because he is willing to bend over backwards to make it affordable for everyone. I love that he informs his patients on why and how chiropractic works. I have been to 4 different ones in Murray and most spend a lot of time with you, hook you up to all kinds of zapping machines that do nothing and charge you a hundrend dollars. That is after they have over scheduled patients and you wait in the waiting room for 30 mins to see the dr. I love going in and him doing only whats necessary and Im out is under 10. And the person who said he can get an adjustment across town for $20 bucks, yeah right! Name the Doctor!!!!! I talk to good people each time I go in there. The staff is amazing. The problem with thinking they are fake is because unfortuantly we don't come across really nice people very often so when we do we think they are fake. They are sweet and caring.
