Both are for athletics and the graves one is also for a children's home. If you want your kid to read more books, then take away his Xbox .

How is that sad? I didn't get to do everything I wanted when I was a kid. My children don't get to do everything they want. My kids would like to go to a different theme park every day but the price is too high and we have other things to do. Such is life. Of course the tickets are expensive. Do you think those rednecks travel the country for the hell of it? They do it to make money.

at Graves they have $15 tickets. This is a whole lot more reasonable than $60.

Maybe Calloway would rather sell 200 $60 tickets than 500 $15 tickets.

It's for a public school. I believe that's what I pay taxes for.
All three of my kids go to public school. In the past year I've paid $300 to play football,$300 for a trip to Chicago,$400 for a trip to St Louis,$80 for the tickets to see my daughter in a dinner theater/chorus show, and countless other fees and activities that required money. Plus I have a $600 trip to Virginia to pay for next year. Plus I pay taxes.

All of that stuff is extra-curricular activities. You know, things that aren't required.

I don't understand why a taxpayer funded school wouldn't bring in something more educational. Kids watch way too much television as it is and now we have their schools promoting it.

I've never understood people who spend money that they don't have to then cry about it,I spent a ton of money on that sort of thing when my kids were in school and never whined about it because I knew that it was my choice.BTW I still pay the same tax you do without kids in school so cry me a river..Some people just look for something to bitch about.
