If u think there r no felons walking around campus, you are an idiot. U can still get grants & loans as a felon.

Gee, I guess that he's been wasting his time going to class and practicing with the team the last couple of weeks.
He isn't taking classes this term.

This boy won't be playing. We've been talking. Most of us boosters don't want him. He's disgraced the program. Coach tells us that they aren't going to offer him another year at MSU.

I don't know anything about his jail time. But I got real doubts you can hit two people with a car and only get 2 months. Even if they are meth heads.

Zay is enrolled in classes this semester, and there are felons on campus. As to what Zay's future is on the team - I sure hope it is over - he has disgraced our program, school and community. Will he get what I think he deserves - I doubt it, however if MSU gives him one cent of scholarship money - my name will be removed from the donor list.

Zay is most definitely in classes this semester (I've seen him going to class on campus). He was also never kicked off the team, he was only suspended. The NCAA also has no say in his eligibility at this point because he isn't a convicted felon. He has been charged with a felony but there's this little clause in our legal system: innocent until proven guilty. If he is convicted he will no longer be allowed to play in the NCAA.

As far as what plea deals there are or aren't, I'm not sure. I do work for the court system in another county and know that someone convicted of this crime in our courts would never do 6 years. It would most definitely be plead down. It's just too expensive to house an inmate for that long, especially if it is an individual's first offense.

As far as disgracing the school, etc. it was really bad but it wasn't a crippling thing like what happened at Penn State. The media attention blew over as fast as the storms last night. It got everyone all worried but ended up being no big deal.

Zay is practicing with the team and is enrolled this semester. I've seen him at practices, on the bench during games and he was in a class that I spoke to last week.

In no way did I defend Zay or his actions. I was just stating truths. I kept my personal opinion completely out of my post.

Calling someone an idiot for listing easily verifiable facts just lets everyone know who is the real idiot.

The "Race Card" ...it's kinda like crabs, irritating, causes instant scratching, soreness, inflammation and gives the "Intellectually challenged" something to do. Wait for it ......wait for it..... "It sounds like you know from experience"....That took a millisecond to see coming. No, It's a logical argument with thought backed with information I learned in middle school. Now ...how does it feel that I robbed you of your "troll" comment and have already fired countermeasures...I know it's hard to wrap your feeble mind around. Wait for it.......wait for it...."This guy is having argument with himself, what a tard". Yup!, saw that one coming as well. If my train of thought is properly followed then you too possess the intellect to understand this statement. "Don't argue with fools, because people at a distance can't tell who is who."

I just choose to have the conversation at times in my own mind. Simple enough.

Maybe Jackson wanted some action?

In this context, "being on the Down Low" is more than just men having sex with men in secret, or a variant of closeted homosexuality or bisexuality — it is a sexual identity that is, at least partly, defined by its "cult of masculinity" and its rejection of what is perceived as white culture (including white LGBT culture) and terms.[3][9][10][11] A 2003 New York Times Magazine cover story on the Down Low phenomenon explains that the black community sees "homosexuality as a white man's perversion."[9] It then goes on to describe the Down Low culture as follows:

“ Rejecting a gay culture they perceive as white and effeminate, many black men have settled on a new identity, with its own vocabulary and customs and its own name: Down Low. There have always been men – black and white – who have had secret sexual lives with men. But the creation of an organized, underground subculture largely made up of black men who otherwise live straight lives is a phenomenon of the last decade... Most date or marry women and engage sexually with men they meet only in anonymous settings like bathhouses and parks or through the Internet. Many of these men are young and from the inner city, where they live in a hypermasculine thug culture. Other DL men form romantic relationships with men and may even be peripheral participants in mainstream gay culture, all unknown to their colleagues and families. Most DL men identify themselves not as gay or bisexual but first and foremost as black. To them, as to many blacks, that equates to being inherently masculine.[9]

Zay... he should go to jail and pay Mr. Clements for the rest of his life.

This is just another reason why college, pro and even high school sports players think they are above the law... they are not!!!

Not all think this way, but many do and they are the ones who spoil it for the others.

But, everytime one bumps his/her toe it makes the headlines... it's sad that we have come down to this. However, when someone does something good it is (not always, but more often than not) either buried on the back page or no even mentioned.

In the "big picture of things" sports means squat!!!
I think putting him in jail the rest of his life is a bit extreme don't ya think? IRS come on... It's not like the man was completely the victim..

Yes he was COMPLETELY the victim. The grand jury rejected Zays lie about a racial slur because Zay never mentioned it in the original investigation. Mr clement did nothing to deserve this and Zay Jackson was overheard saying he hates whites and Hispanics But go ahead, take Zays side. You are a racist as well. God bless you Clements, I pray you find justice in our corrupt legal system.
