I was walking into the Quiznos yesterday and I went into the bathroom to poop. I heard a man yelling while setting on the urinal... so I promptly zipped up without wiping and put my ear to the wall. By golly, it was Chuck. He said he was going to start producing Jack Daniels by printing labels and slapping it on bottles of his own brew. He is buying a distillery next month to start the new brand.
GENIUS!
man you stunk it up in there.

I went into the store for the second time and LOVED IT!! I'm not from Murray, but frequently come there. I am so glad that Murray has gone wet and has a classy place to buy. I'm over 40, an alumni of MSU and Proud supporter of a growing Murray, Ky. I have never met Mr. Jones and I could care less. It is what it is and life goes on. I hate to tell you people, but Walmart is the biggest of the crooks.

Everyone will have their place to go. All about a choice. As far as prices, that is way off as I too have priced all three locations numerous times. Good Spirits and Friendly's beat each other on different products. All depends on what the cost was to them from the distributor (common in retail).
Now Rite-Aid gets a huge volume discount because of the mass volume they order throughout the region. Nobody in Murray will be able to compete with their prices. The city sales tax is paid by Rite-Aid by subsidizing all sales throughout the store. Tax is being paid, just every sale in the store is helping pay the tax.
As far as selection, neither come close to what Good Spirits has. I could not even tell Friendly's had a wine collection. And I'm not talking about Beringers or Sutter Home. Not even close... If you are a true wine drinker then you will know what I'm talking about.
As far as ordering what a customer wants. Both places do it without hesitation.
Presentation and cleanliness... Yea, not even going to comment on which is better. You would have to be blind not to know that.
So at the end of the day. Go where you feel comfortable. Too easy, right? No need in slandering and making up crap that simply is not even true. Fair and impartial....
I am sure you are Mark W, Chuckles or work there. Business must be slow

Actually no I'm not. I'm a lady as well as a Travel Nurse with 2 kids in college at MSU. I do wish I could say that I had the money they do, but I am proud of my accomplishments.

Does Dan still own part of that shopping center? Curious because he's been encouraging people to buy their liquor from the drug store, saying its at least 8-10% cheaper there. So, figured he's either getting a paycheck from the drugstore or no longer partners in the shopping center since his discouraging people to do business there.

Your right ! Murray people do have an AXE to grind and should have an axe to grind. Their sick of Chuck and Sarah Jones and embarrassed that people like them are in our community. Now they want us to " FORGET " and MOVE ON". Don't think it's going to be that simple or easy.
Please people. I know it hurt the people of Murray, but they have that weight on their shoulders. I personally like Sara, Chuck no. Still it's not going to hurt their feelings if you don't buy from them. I like classy places to shop.

.i think you should continue your "classy" shopping. Although I have never been to a classy liquor store. That's like saying a classy whore, or classy skating rink. Hey, but if it feeds your need of feeling like buying booze is a unique and glam experience, I can understand your liking the Jones. Perfect Fit!

I hate to break the news but on a small town business level, they are crooked as it gets for the assets they had. If they were running Walmart, it would be worse than you already feel about the place.

Moral of the story is that neither are good examples of people or society!

I do not care if Chuck ones a liquor store or any other business. We all know what he is. He is trying to validate himself any way he can. Next it may be " the best lemonade stand" in western ky, or booze a doodles, all just worthless companies with a website, brochure and an ad on billboard! No matter how much money he has or makes, we and his daddy know, he is worthless!

It doesn't hurt to price shop ! I've looked around in there and true , they have by far the best selection ! I don't think anybody cares where you buy your liquor ! I'm just glad Murray finally has it for sale ! Stay safe , stay off the road , and it's time to get plowed ..........

Everytime I hear the ads on the radio all I can think of is the Jones's are racking up more bills that they will not be able to pay. They will end up filing bankruptcy and more businesses will not get their money. When will this town decide they have had enough of the train wreck in progress. It's pretty damn sickening.
