Ive heard that land was bought and a grant recieved for senior apartments just like strawberry... Anybody heard anything? Land was supposed to have been bought long time ago and i assume with the grant money so wheres the rest oif the grant money and what are the plans?

I don't know how city funds can be missing they have audits every 2 years and they are very strict audits. It would be very hard to take city funds.

You people can sure come up with a lot of crap!! And I mean crap! Yes they purchased land but have not had anything set in stone as to what is going to be done with it. If you want to know quit being a coward and getting on here and talking about it and go to a city council meeting and ask them. They meet the same time every month and all you have to do is ask a council member or the Mayor when it is and they will be glad to tell you what is going on. If you don't have the guts to do that you need to shut up!!!!!!

Since I am not on the town council I am not qualified to answer that. The curious that started the thread should just call city hall and find out. I just know the accusation of funds being missing is ridiculous.

This is what I heard. The Town bought the land. They do not have the grant money yet to build the center. But they had to own the land, before they could get a grant.

Don't know about stepping on toes but being just plain ridiculous. Just because nothing has been built doesn't mean that the money was taken or used in any wrong manner. Maybe they are waiting for more grant money. If you people knew what you were talking about you would know that using grant money takes a lot of time and paperwork also. It isn't just a matter of going and throwing up a building. There is a lot of red tape involved..

maybe if theres nothin to hide or if there wasnt a reason for people to think something wasnt goin on people wouldnt have to think anything...... If this is for the community why is it so hush hush? the public should know about it and have a say about it........ Its not just up to the Chosen Few is it?
