William "Gus" Thomas had his life ruined by a crooked police force. pay the man , not $200 million but he does deserve restitution. i hope he wins , any of us could be framed like that.

OK, Mr. Thomas was blamed for killing those two women, then at a trial he was found not guilty. but the other women's murder was never tried, That's because they felt like jackasses and were pissed they lost and he was not found guilty. Then they said , lets hold the other murder case over his head till we can prove it with no way for a jury to say he was not guilty. It does not take a monkey to know this, and I'm sure everyone out there with half a brain knows it to. And I say yes, the police dept, did and was watching and talking about Mr. Thomas for years and did make certain things in Mr. Thomas life harder. Come on people. If you think they just wrote it off and did bother or watch him like a hawk, you need help. But funny how it all ended, finding out a police officer was part of the cover up, hell yes, him and his buddies wanted Mr Thomas found guilty, anybody would do. Cant remember the past officer that was part of the cover up about the gun and the real murder, but someone should pay. I'm not saying the tax payer in Staunton need s to pay, they have enough to worry about. but since they blamed him and screwed up his life because of it. Sorry the buck stops here. I really hope Mr. Thomas gets some money and get enough to live care free and travel and do what ever he wants and enjoy the rest of his life and if I was him, I would have left the city of Staunton long ago. Another thing for a judge to drop the other charges against Mr. Thomas that had been on record for years and then say now they did not have them. Come on people. wake up. The police Dept did wrong and have mud on their faces. Pay up. And start doing your job, maybe they should be watching their own backs, and not Mr. Thomas. And if Mr.Thomas reads this, I'm glad your life is not under a magnifying glass anymore. Go and enjoy the rest of your life somewhere else. If you have family here, take them too. Screw Staunton!!

How do you figure what this is worth? Certainly not $200 million. How much would this person have earned in that time span? Double is for pain and suffering. Add the money grubbers, er, lawyers 1/3 cut and you should be at about $6 million. Pay the man and let's everyone get on with our lives.

In 2003 Investigator Hartless, Snotgrass and Dave Bocock, who is also the rogue detective who was having a sexual relation with Sharon beginning when she was 14 years old, traveled to California to try to get Mr. Thomas wife to recant her statement that help prove Mr. Thomas was NOT guilty of the murders. Dave Bocock remained in control of the case until his death. The Staunton Police Department did refuse to look for the real murderers, always staying focus on Thomas

If Mr. Thomas had been found guilty in 1967 he would have been long ago executed for a murder he never committed. Hell yes, he should be paid 200 million plus. Investigator Floyd Jarvis tried getting Thomas to handle a pistol during questioning. If he had put his hand on it he would have been long gone.
The City refused to pay any part of a reward offered in 1967. They never solved the case, plus treated the people responsible for solving it badly.
No reward was paid...look how much was spent 2003 for 1st class air fair to california for 3 adults plus room while on the west coast. But nothing for the ones who solved it.
I pray the Courts say enough is enough and makes the City pay.

Has anyone seen Rebecca Crist? She was a citizen of Staunton, Va involved with police officers working on the Staunton Police Department. She vanished and seems last people to see her was Roy Hartless, and other members of the PD. Please, if you have any information please contact the Virginia State Police.

A man who is 21 years old, living in Staunton, employed with Food Lion drove to the Skate town to pick up a 13 year old female, took her to him family home to spend the night engaged in sex. When he and his mother learned police was searching for her they drove her to her home in Stuarts Draft to drop her off.....
What is so bad about this is the man has never been charged for anything. The girl was taken to the hospital where a rape kit was done, everything comes back positive.....but no arrest.
Staunton is the city who ran a business man away for selling adult movies, toys, etc. But they turn a blind eye to kids being raped by adults. YES I said RAPE. She is 13 years old, not old enough to consent to anything. WAKE UP STAUNTON. Oh...they guy is a known man...Tyler Craft.
