I have never broken a law in my life (except a speeding ticket) but I got accused of selling my meds because my car window was smashed and every thing in my purse was stolen. I grew up in a family of policemen. I'm not stupid but they tried to force a false confession out of me. Every one in the waiting room are shady. But I got treated like a criminal.
I think you're confused on a couple things:

1) Regarding the "shady" folks -- it's not Hope patients you should've been worried about, it's the shady people who busted your car window and stole your stuff.

2) Having grown up "in a family of policemen," you'd think you would've known better than to leave something of value like your purse in your vehicle in the first place. I mean, there's all kinds of shady people out there and willing to do just about anything to get what they want.

3) You claim you're not stupid but your behavior indicates otherwise.

The only thing you seem to have gotten correct is that you, most definitely, are screwed!

Go in peace & best of luck to you.

@Guess, is that the one in Whitehall? I'm sorry, I'm just not familiar with that area.

Regardless.....

If you're asking about a HOPE Clinic office, they're all pretty much the same: if you're truly in pain, you should give them a call. Their website: http://www.hopepaincenters.org

There isn't much Hope otherwise for the chronic pain patient, I'm afraid. The War On Drugs has taken us hostage. We are now treated like criminals because our understanding and compassionate doctors fear the DEA's wrath for simply doing their jobs. Truly an unfortunate situation.

However, drug seekers beware! HOPE is very strict and generally weed out the abusers within six months to a year.(This is not directed at Guess or anyone in particular; it's just a warning.)

They have "auditors," all former law enforcement, that patients meet with every single month. These guys are trained to look for signs of abuse, diversion, dishonesty, etc., and they're pretty intense. Hope does random UI's and pill counts. Patients are also advised that the clinic works with law enforcement.... And I know this to be true because I've seen a deputy meeting with an auditor at one of my appointments.

Let's just put it this way, they don't play!

Good luck! Chronic pain patients should not suffer because there are folks abusing the system and the medications we need to live!

Yes thats the one i was talking about. The one in whitehall. What kind of pain meds do they prescribe? I read in some of the comments that all they give is allergy type meds. I'm not trying to pay $275 to them just to get some allergy pills.
