I don't know what the deal is but I would WELCOME some input from people who have been seen or are currently being seen there!
these people are fine, they have a DEA officer that you will see each time you go,you will need legitamit mri report, and they only accept cash, they will give you the neccasary form to get reimbursed..they will help you

They now have a mail order pharmacy they're working with. They fax your scripts the day you're seen so pharmacy can begin working on them. They then overnight the hard copies to the pharmacy. The pharmacy then overnights your meds to your door. 48 hours after you're seen you should have your meds. Pharmacy accepts insurance, from what I understand, as well. Hope that helps my fellow Hope patients!

It hurt enough to make me almost jump off the table and get tears in my eyes from the pain. i have a bruise there now He then looked at me and told me to stop faking and suck it up and that i was a drug addict and told me to leave right away never looked at my mri report or anything. I walked out in tears and im a adult. I have 2 sliped disks that the mri report points out. I have a clean record and a clean drug test. Please i advise nobody go to that place its hell and i waited 6 hours to be seen. I dont want anybody who is in real pain to go through what i did. This place needs to be shut down asap
question on screening

Alexandria, VA

#26 Mar 2, 2014
Hey have a question about the drug screening process at hope. I had a serious car accident 3 years ago that left me very bad off. I smoke marijuana at night to help fall asleep and to prevent the nightmares of the accident honestly. I do no other drugs nor drink alcohol. Lately ive been serious pain due to a new job and strenous work conditions. I recently went to my doctor to ask for something to help. My family doctor told me she does not feel comfortable writing me a pain medicine prescription but to find a pain management doctor who is more in that field. I have read all about hope pain clinic and seems a right fit for me, just wondering before I pay all that money if they will automatically not help me due to a failed drug screen for marijuana? I am currently NOT taking any presciption medicine. If anyone knows the answer please let me know! Thank you all.

to the person titled 'your story sounds fishy" I have to suspect you are either the doctor there, or close to him, maybe employed there. You must also believe these places are just perfect, because they're hooking you up with what you want or something... Theres a reason people refer to alot of pain clinics as "pill mills". I know a lady in Staunton, VA , who goes to a pain clinic, she gets enough meds to treat a medium size country!!! Does anyone, even in the worst pain need 300 10mg methadones, 600 5mg percocets, 200 levorphanols, & now 200 oxymorphones??? I am friends with someone who knows her, & also knows about all the money she's raking in. Profitable for her or not, can you really imagine ANYONE taking this amount of narcotic painkillers???? THIS sounds fishy to me!!!!

You've read through the forum and want to know the doctor's name in Staunton and are now confused about whether or not to seek help at Hope Clinic, right?
First, I assume the doctor you're asking about is the pain management office that "Curious Girl" is bashing in her post. The one she doesn't go to herself but knows a lady who goes there and "...gets enough meds to treat a medium size country!!!" When you were reading through, you must have missed Curious Girl's second post where she states the lady she's talking about actually goes to Balint Pain Management not Hope Clinic. Kind of funny, really, that she posts her "pill mill" spiel on Hope's forum when it has nothing to do with Hope Clinic. Maybe she'd know that, though, if she also knew a lady, who knew a lady, who knows a man...(you get it) who went to Hope as well as Balint.
Second, I am a Hope Clinic patient. I am satisfied with the services I get there, and no, it's not because, as Curious Girl eloquently puts it, "... they're hooking [me] up with what [I] want or something."
Again, her comparing Hope to Balint is laughable: Balint doesn't take the steps Hope does to make sure the laws are being obeyed. And, since there's absolutely no way for a doctor to know who's really in pain and who isn't, that's what it all comes down to.
Aside from the extra measures you're aware of from reading through this forum -- background checks, drug tests, pill counts, etc.-- no one is walking out of Hope Clinic with prescriptions for that many drugs and at the quantities that Curious Girl claims Balint is prescribing (if that's even true)! I guess if that's the kind of "treatment" you need, then you should probably go somewhere like Balint and not Hope. Yeah, it's just not happening! Oh and, Balint is actually in Weyers Cave. Not sure if they have an office in Staunton too but a Google search will give you their phone number.
Now, I'm willing to jump through all the "extra hoops" Hope requires because I need pain medication and I definitely don't want to show up one month for an appointment only to find the doctors office has been shut down by the DEA due to prescribing to the "wrong" folks, over-prescribing, not documenting prescriptions properly, or some of the other bureaucratic red tape doctors have to deal with nowadays just to be able to write these kind of prescriptions.[Yes, drug abuse, addiction, overdose, are all problems that needed addressed but chronic pain patients are victims in the war on drugs.(Not the time or place to get into all of that, so, back to the topic....)]
As for your other issue with Hope -- not billing insurance -- you can still seek reimbursement from your insurance company (as long as it's not Medicare). I think it's just a way for Hope to keep their costs down and I know there's some people who choose not to bill their insurance for privacy reasons. They're not the only doctors offices that make patients file their own claims. It's just a matter of having to pay up-front for your visit and waiting to be reimbursed by your insurance company.
If you have any other questions, let me know. I'll try my best to answer them. Good luck!

I know as soon as I post this ill get a lot of negative feedback and I understand. My husband has broke his back twice and neck once. He was seeing a pair dr previously but was laid off and lost his insurance a little over a year Ago. Since going back to work 2months ago he could barely get out of bed or move around. This place seems to be the only one we've found we could afford. Recently even though he doesn't agree with it he's been buying medicine off the street. He just wants to be able to work and not break the law. My question is if he makes an appt and shows positive on the first drug screen will they automatically not see him? There would be nothing else in his system. We're not druggies just looking to get high. Heck we're DARE sponsors at our local elementary school. If anyone can please let me know

That's terrible, right!?! Let the stone throwing begin....because we know no on here has ever done anything wrong! I understand your husband's position, unfortunately. I would suggest Hope for him. Make sure he tells them everything he's taken in the last month and, if at all possible, take a bottle for that drug with his name on it.(Yes, I DO understand what you're saying. Hopefully you get what I'm saying.) He will be drug tested the first time but they send their tests out so they won't have the results immediately. He will be tested again at his second visit to make sure what he's prescribed and only what he's prescribed is in his system. That's going to be the most important thing going forward. Good luck!

I just want to say thank you. I had wanted to post on here for a week but had been too scared. I tried to call and ask but feel like I placed the nurse who answered in an awkward position. She seemed really friendly and said she'd call back but no luck.

W pain clinics has been big money and mostly jokes.i moved and started using a small drug store surprised at there ext. Low prices now i know it was because one of the meds did not contain the amount on the label hence it didnt show on my screening which resulted in my dismissal.i am a homebody and rarely go out and always take my meds to the t but they refused to hear me , been there three years never missed and never failed and due to their dismissal according to this forum hope wont help either. Not everyone wants to be on medication bit some of us have to.

I don't doubt you need your meds, disc disease. Back problems can be a real b!#ch! I'm sorry, too, to hear you were fired after three years of compliance. I'm honestly not sure if Hope can help you due to that dismissal. I will tell you, though, that Balint also refused to see me before I went to Hope....and I live, well, let's just say MUCH closer to them than you do (& you're not far away in w'boro). Once again, I wish you well!

Ok, I appreciate all the info I was given here it was very helpful. My husband had his appt in Fishersville recently. I just wanted to share his experience. Let me first say, the staff there was absolutely wonderful. However, himself and another lady was left in the waiting room from 9am til 1 pm. This was just due to waiting on the dr. He was picking and choosing which patients he wanted to see first. They had both already spoken to the other staff members and went through all the screening steps. It became such an issue that the staff got involved and addressed the issue. However when he got back to see the dr, let's just say there were some issues lol. But, once we left the office, I emailed the office manager, and within 20 we had a reply. She was absolutely wonderful. She apologized for all the problems we encountered and was able to reschedule him at one of their other locations that was actually a lot closer. Anyone that is a legitimate patient should not have any problems. The only problem we encountered really was finding a pharmacy. The only one we found at the time charged us a ridiculous amount, but the manager I spoke to explained that they now have someone that can help. So, long story short we highly recommend them, IF YOU'RE LEGIT! And to the manager that helped, a huge heartfelt THANK YOU, for everything.

I have never broken a law in my life (except a speeding ticket) but I got accused of selling my meds because my car window was smashed and every thing in my purse was stolen. I grew up in a family of policemen. I'm not stupid but they tried to force a false confession out of me. Every one in the waiting room are shady. But I got treated like a criminal.
