The bridge was indeed very icy! I crossed, less than 15 minutes, prior to the accident. I was traveling less than 40 MPH and felt the car lose traction on the bridge twice. Truly heartfelt thoughts and prayers for all involved.

Although I didn't know his mother very well (may she R.I.P) I am extremely close to her son who was involved in this tragic accident. And yes he was sitting beside his mother who sadly lost her life. To all who think they know what happened or why; just know that it was a true miracle that God left her son here with us. And as he has a long road to recovery from this tragedy that was bestowed upon him please just hold him and his family in your thoughts and prayers and thank God every day! I know that I will... R.I.P Tina and May God bless…

Is the speed limit really 45 through there? If it is it should be reduced to 35 all the time. I mean it's 40 MPH going through Dooms out of Waynesboro and it's 5 lanes wide!! And i know the weather was bad so I'm not trying to get into how fast they were actually going or should of been.

340 from Waynesboro to Grottoes has been riddled with bad wrecks the last few years.

Speed...over and over and over... I think the last death down there a person was attemting to make a right hand turn at 60 MPH off 340.... killed a Man instantly in a tiny little car.

Then that in Dooms blew straight through that stop-sign.

Just too fast all the time

REALLY?!?! WHY ARE YOU GUYS EVEN FRICKIN FIGHTING OVER THE DAMN VEHICLE . TINA WAS A WONDERFUL WOMAN , GREAT MOTHER, BELOVING FRIEND... SHE DOESNT DESERVE TO HAVE PEOPLE ARGUING OVER THE SAFETY OF CARS ON HERE. THIS ISNT ABOUT THE CAR OR HOW SAFE IT WAS THIS IS ABOUT A FAMILY LOSING A LOVED ONE. TAKE THIS ARGUMENT SOMEWHERE ELSE .

Boog. ignore these dumb people. They have no idea what they're talking about. Your mother was a wonderful person. She loved you very much. These people have no common sense or humanity. We all love you baby girl and Ms. Tracy's right. Dad, her, me, tim, becca, rachel, javoni, laylah.... everybody is here for you and Tyler. Love you boog <3

Yes there is a sign there for her. I pass by it everyday. I was there that night and was in the traffic when it happened ( I live not too far from the wreck site). I was running late to dinner on Saturday and came across the scene right as it occurred. I'm so sorry that this happened and pray that her daughter will make it through this tough time.

Now that I realize where this wreck happened .
There was a lunch Lady from SDMS who was killed in the very same area, ice was a factor I think then also .
She was a nice lady , I think her last name was some form of Megann.
Daughter named Kim , maybe...donnie ?

Hey Ashley, You can read, watch and learn from what has happened to you and Tyler, But I guarantee you this, your mom was thinking about both you kids before she left us. She is not far from you both and is closer than you think. Your mom is a good parent, she was funny and I am glad to have known and worked with her as well as being part of your family, I would not have traded any part of my memories of her for anything else.

The worst thing to do right now Ashley and Tyler is do nothing, You both need to talk and cry, talk and cry, cry and talk, Keeping this inside is not going to help you in the healing process. Please don't build a wall to suppress or hide your feelings like I had done. When I took care of Nanny and she passed she took that wall down and now I cry when I am sad, happy, even when I watch movies and I feel better afterwords. What I trying to say is it helped me grow into a better person and that is what life and love is supposed to do. I love you so very much Luvbug and I am crying while I am typing this..... Grow with us Ashley and Tyler :)

Can someone tell me of the State Police are going to try to figure out if she were speeding so there will be justice here! My God a Son and Daughter are with out their Mother! And there you have it another teen driving that caused this. And if it was the weather... why was a 16 year old out on the roads. Then I blame the parents of the teen they should be charged! I bet that teen is at home with her parents tonight! SMH

As a parent of a 16 year old myself. I would never let her dive when the roads could be icy. Wake up parents! Now someone is buring their parnet! And was she speading? Something happend you dont just drive across a bridge and hit a car head on becaus of ice was she breaking or was she speeding?? My thoughts and prayers go to the family that lost their loved one.

I hate to say this but I think they SHOULD press charges. the adult should never have let that teen drive in those conditions. NEVER. this is why people lose their lives. its a tough lesson learned. I feel sorry for the family who lost their lovedone

unfortunately I think they SHOULD press charges. that adult should never have let that teenager drive in those conditions, NEVER! its a very sad way to learn a lesson. so many people get hurt. so many lives are changed forever. I do hope the family of the mother can find it in their hearts to forgive and move on to happier times. life is so fragile. I will keep you in my prayers.
