i think we should not because we came 2 school 2 learn not 2 text or doing anything with electronics and if u really think about it the makers of the electronics didnt think that the kids should take them to school they thought about how people can make it portable and take it with them instead

we should bring technology to school because if we don'know how to spell a word we could look it up on google.
also when we don't know a math problum

I think kids should not bring electronics to school. kids can go on a caculator or on google while a test they can look up the answer for the question and get all the answers right and they will be cheating!

Have you ever had a friend who has had their iPod or DS stolen? Was it returned? Most likely not. Did they complain that the school had to repay them for the stolen or lost item? Many people constantly break their phones too. They also try to frame the school for the broken items.
If the parents need to talk to the students, they can call the main office. Students would use the emergency as a scapegoat to have the cell phone. This is a problem because parents would be calling students phones in the middle of class distracting them. If they could call the office they would have a reassurance and students will not be distracted.
There is ample evidence of cell phones being a distraction in school. Small size and inaudible, high-pitched ring tones make cell phones easy to hide and use. It is a proven fact that adults over 30 cannot hear some of the high-pitched ring tones teens use deliberately for that reason. Cell phones can be used to cheat, to call the wrong people and to bully classmates. For these reasons many teachers and administrators want cell phones banned from school. The sensible approach is to create a set of rules and policies regarding cell phone use and enforce them.
As a former New York City public-school teacher, I can tell you that cell phones don't belong in the classroom. A student with a cell phone is an uninterested student, one with a short attention span who cares more about socializing than education.
When I was teaching, all too often I turned around from writing something on the blackboard to find students text-messaging or otherwise playing with their phones.
Come the end of the term, a handful of students would fail the class and far too many would drop out of school. The onus for failure should be placed on distractions in the classroom, specifically cell phones.
