What lie? I'm a full time truck driver that works 45 to 50 hours per week (or more) and a landlord of 5 units. If you don't think that's a second job, then you're crazy.<quoted text> if you did you wouldn't post here as much. Try to think about your lie a little more before you post it. Your father was a mason? So is mine. Hard labor isn't it? Especially mixing mortar.
My father tried to make a bricklayer out of me, but I hated the work. He did pull some strings to get me into the union so I could be an apprentice, but that lasted about one summer. LOL!
I'm glad I didn't go that route. I remember while growing up my father and his countless surgeries on his back and laying in traction in his bed at home. This is not to mention other injuries he got on the job.
At one time, the doctors told him if he didn't fine another line of work, he would be crippled for the rest of his life. So he got a real estate license and tried to make it that way. He gave it up. He decided to go against doctors orders and returned back to construction.
I didn't want to be like that just to make a living. Not a lot of people do which is why they are always short handed when it comes to bricklayers. This is not to mention that not many homes and buildings use brick anymore. That means building firewalls on industrial buildings with 8" block. Screw that.
