It doesnt matter because Cincy Tattoo is in a slow dead spiral and will be out of business in a year... Nothing but a group of losers left there since the real artists left...

If Mike and Jesse suck so bad, then why did Cincy Tatt keep them there for nearly a decade?! When they left, 90% of the clients followed them to the new shop. Rock on Avalon, your president supports you.

If you want a great view of something, go down to their basment and look at the 10 years of trash built up. Avalon Tattoo is the best shop to hit Cincinnati and their clientel is growing at an astronomical rate! i can imagine the trash in the basement cause the neighbors have tooken out their trash just because they got tired of smelling it leaving out there own house! i would love the board of health to go check out cint tattoo and see how trashed nasty and dirty it is! its a whore house over there! at night the "guy" brings in mass girls and they are in the shop for hours! i say they are giving out more than just tattoos!

Avalon Tattoo & Piercing is the best shop in Cincinnati. I trust everybody there to do my pieces, down to the apprentices. Jesse and Mike are the best! As soon as you walk in, you immediately feel at ease, whether you're getting your first tattoo or getting your 100th tattoo. The shop is one big happy family, and it's the sorta place you can hang out and watch some excellent work being done. Since May 2nd, when the shop officially opened with their Grand Opening Party, and their permanent $20 Body Piercings, they've been headed to the top. Cincinnati Tattoo is a staple in Cincinnati BECAUSE of Mike & Jesse.(Or maybe it's because it became a staple due to naming the shop after the city it was located in. I must say, very clever, right? Ugh.) The owner of Cincinnati has done nothing but spread rumors and slander about Avalon Tattoo because he's pissed off that everybody left him, leaving the worst artists at Cincinnati Tattoo to pick up the pieces. No doubt in less than a year's time, Cincinnati Tattoo will no longer be a staple in the West Side. AValon Tattoo has become SO successful in the West Side, there's been some noise of acquiring a small shop in Mount Washington that opened up eight months ago called American Anchor Tattoo. American Anchor Tattoo will become Avalon's sister shop, and undoubtedly will be the next big thing to hit Beechmont Avenue. For more info on the shop, how well they're doing, and if you want some ink or piercings that you'll be proud to wear and say, "I got this at Avalon Tattoo!", just visit www.myspace.com/avalontattooandpiercing

I went to Avalon yesterday and was very pleased with the staff there and the tattoo I received. I am definitely recommending them to all my friends. I checked around at some of the surrounding tattoo parlors, and there prices were quite a bit higher, espeically on piercings.

I doubt the ones that left MADE Cincy Tattoo the business it is today since it has been in business since 1966. Good artists yes, however leaving they way they did by means of theft etc..... was the wrong way! Not the way to start off your own business. Go with those cheap piercings, you usually get what you pay for. I saw a young girl with a livid mother come to Cincy Tattoo after her daughter had her tragus incorrectly pierced. As for whoring, OH my gawshhhhh....I think MOST of that left when Jessee did too! FYI..I was there one day when they Board of Health inspected and they passed...only complaint was on more organized paper work, I hardly think that affects the outcome of a professional tattoo /piercing. BTW, it IS organized now and was done so by one of the workers there. I seriously doubt the busineess lost 50% of it's customers...when I am getting work done there it is ALWAYS busy. Anyone with business knowledge knows you cannot tell the outcome of a surviving NEW business in the first few months...so I wouldn't put the horse before the cart so soon.

TOOKEN?? Proper English ...it's TAKEN. If there's any trash there why didn't the previous employees at avalon take a minute from whoring so to speak and do it when THEY worked there???(Lazy, self-absorbed!) hahaha wrote: <quoted text> i can imagine the trash in the basement cause the neighbors have tooken out their trash just because they got tired of smelling it leaving out there own house! i would love the board of health to go check out cint tattoo and see how trashed nasty and dirty it is! its a whore house over there! at night the "guy" brings in mass girls and they are in the shop for hours! i say they are giving out more than just tattoos!

Uh yeah they WERE IN the shop at NIGHT just like everyone who works there until closing.... That;s pretty 2 faced about the person you are speaking up, most of you probably were in there talking with him most of the time before Mike and Jessee split. I was there today and had beautiful work done by CARL as always...and the place was packed. Actually it is a more refreshing atmosphere with mew faces . Afraid to say JAkE"S name?? WHY??? Doesn't matter what gossip slandering crap is slung on here or in avalon, Cincinnati Tattoo is a CLEAN shop and good artists. ADVICE to anyone reading this and may be searching for a good place to go ...I would suggest checking a few shops out and ultimately the customer will decide where they want to get their work done. Ask questions...look at their work and watch some work being done to see if everything is sterile . My opinion is I WILL recommend www.cincinnatitattoo.com to anyone and I DO get asked alot about my MANY tattoos. hahaha wrote: cause that wasn't their job to do it was j's! i talked to mike many times about this! and it wasnt mike nor jessie in the shop at night it was j! i feel sorry for his fiance! i hope she knows what shes getting her self into! <quoted text>

I agree that any client should take a look at the work being done from the shop they are going to and others. It is a permanent decision. Carl is a good tattoo artist but there are a lot of new things to be brought to the tattoo table these days and Carl is not the one to do it.

I support Cincinnati Tattoo & Piercing. I went in for a tattoo and a jacobs ladder and was very pleased with the service. The wind bars Carl put on me were great! They go awesome with my mullett and lynard skynard t-shirt! My sis really liked the work. When I got my jacobs ladder, Jake held my weiner with just enough grip to get it firm, but not too hard so Carl could penetrate the shaft with his stiff needles. Thanks for the happy ending Carl and Jake! You guys Rock!!! and Zeppelin rules!!!!

Actually, there were a lot of complaints from the better business bureau about jake's behavior towards clients and the board of health inspector. As for all the trash talking going on here, if Cincinnati Tattoo wasn't so beat up over everything completely changing, they wouldn't even be going through all this. If the artists at Avalon were/are so bad, then WHY did Carl keep them employed for so long? Granted, Jake is a good body piercer (I have had a few from him), it's usually a preference on personality and presentation; which, my mom didn't like Jake piercing me mostly because he hit on me blatantly and his appearance. It's just a matter of preference.
