These parents might not have used good judgement, but they should not be prosecuted for a terrible accident.
Our government has made too many laws when they can put otherwise good parents in jail or prison for poor judement in an accident like this.
I am still appalled at the parents imprisoned for the drowning deaths of their two children while camping at a river. This was another case of poor thinking resulting in a terrible accident.
If our prosecutors had been around a hundred years ago, they would have been prosecuting parents because their child fell into the hot kettle of maple syrup. Or stomped by cows they were sent to bring in. Or killed because they went into the pig pen to play with the new piglets and mom pig didn't like it. Should all of these parents have been jailed because of these accidents?
It is time for Ohio to repeal some bad laws before they make any more bad laws.
Actually, I would like to see Ohio reprint our laws in language we can understand, instead of the "windy" pages that explain little to the average citizen.

Couldn't agree more. This family's suffered enough, media needs to stop bringing it up over and over so they can attempt to find some sort of peace. Brown county your getting it wrong this time!

There is a shocking twist to this sad story that will probably be making headlines very soon. I doubt this family will find peace any time soon. I agree however, the parents shouldn't be charged, they've suffered enough!
