I had been seeing TV Commercials for Diet Center in Memphis. I joined and have lost 13 pounds so far in just over 3 weeks. I was wanting to hear from others that are on Diet Center and maybe start a group on here...Any interest?

I would be interested. I have been thinking about joining Diet Center too. I hear the girl on the radio (Jill Bucco, I think) talking about how she lost 25 pounds on Diet Center. How much did it cost to join? Are you hungry? Is it easy to follow and can you eat out? Sorry for all the questions, but I want to pick something I can succeed at.

Howdy Risso, yes. I have lost 13 pounds in about 3 weeks. For me, the accountability is what makes Diet Center good. There is someone to set goals with and hold me accountable which I need. Yes, you can do your own food or theirs or a combination. I am not hungry at all. All their food is really good, but I like being able to have the flexability of being able to eat our or do my own thing. I think the cost depends on how much weight you want to lose. For me, it was comparable to other programs, but I really like the 1 on 1 setting (versus a group at W. Watchers). Hope this helps. If you join, let me konw. My friend does the program (luckily I dont have weight problems), but she has lost like 4 dress sizes on Diet Center. I don't know anything about the costs. The only thing she has complained about is they are not open on the weekends. Lucky Employees!

Yes, that is right. They close at Fridays at noon I think and closed all weekends, but they are open until like 6 or 7 on the other days throughout the week. So it makes getting their easy if you work.

I have done Diet Center- It's a great program, but I too had trouble getting into the center during working hours. They close at 6, so if you ever have to work over that can make it hard. I wished they would have opened earlier than 9 or stayed open later. Its a great program. I lost 27 pounds and have kept it all off for approximately 2 years. I still go in for Mainteance Visits.

I did the Intant Shape Up Program. I really liked it because I never was hungry. I lost 20 pounds my first month. For me to do 27 pounds it took about 6 weeks. I think I would have done better, but I did it around Christmas time so there were lotz of temptations! Ha! Anyway, I found it easy to do and consistent weight loss which kept me motivated.

Is Diet Center similar to Jenny Craig or LA Weight Loss? Where in Memphis is Diet Center located?

There is a Diet Center in Germantown and East Memphis. I am not sure what LA Weight Loss is, but it is not similar to Jenny Craig where you have to eat all pre-packaged meals. Diet Center is set up to let you do your own food or theirs, which is nice if you are social like me.

When I joined Diet Center it seems like it was like $275 for everything I needed.

The program here was $300. for 6 weeks, that doesn't include any food. Very expensive, but if it works, it's worth it to me!

all you need to do is push yourself back from the feed trough of fried chicken and ribs, get off the computer and go for a walk every day ! lord knows Memphis has some of the fattest women I've ever lived around- men too-

don't waste your time and money on these folks! Learn how to plan your meals...they only copy recipes from others, push pills and their $$$ products.

Yes, I heard LA Weight Loss was very expensive, thats why I lost my weight with Diet Center.

I am on Diet Center now....I lost 9 lbs my fist week and am down over 20 in my first month. It's pretty ez to follow- What I like is I can still eat out with friends and not eat "special" foods. Carol at Germantown is great.
