Toyota pay cut

Am I the only one who thinks that some of the statements on here are posted by Toyota management? The wording and phrasing reminds me of toyotas' management. Why wouldn't they post on here? There's free reign for them to say anything they want against having a voice in our workplace. All of the hours they spend in front of their laptops, why wouldn't they hop on this site and plant propaganda? It could be part of their job, we have no way of knowing any difference. I've been at this facility for quite awhile and I've seen many people become GLs and AMs. These people were pro union but once they become "agents" of the company, they change. Their beliefs are still in them but now they're sleeper cells. You'll never believe this but on Wednesdays when I wear a UAW shirt they come to me and say,"I like that shirt". Minimally educated and over educated people both understand the purpose of a unionized workforce. Corruption lies in everything. If I have a choice between fighting corruption by myself or use another corrupt entity...I'll use corruption against corruption every time. The difference is my employer doesn't have to listen to me but all of us, unified, they are required to listen to us. Examples...my employer is planning on increasing the cost of my insurance? Not without my approval. My employer is making Billions of profits again and they want to throw us $0.11 an hour raise? Not without our approval. Nothing is done unless "we" approve. Why would having a voice be a bad thing? It comes down to how you value yourself. I don't give a crap about anybody else employed by some other company. I'm talking about Toyota employees. You either value yourself and want to better yourself or your sheep-like and you're happy with whatever your employer feels you're worth. I have 1 shot at this thing to better my life and my family. I'm not one to roll over and take whatever scraps Toyota thinks I'm worth. If Toyota didn't want an employee with a backbone, they should've hired someone else.

very well stated. unfortunately the kool aid has been swallowed and the fools have bought in, as evidenced by the employees that think they arent deserving of respect. As long as they are employed, its all good. thats the rationale of a ky worker

They're not taking a paycut. They're being given one. There's a difference.

In my worst Japanese voice to Toyota workers..."Fuk uh you roundeye. You wuk harder roundeye. Oh! You wuk less cause we pay you less? Well, don't let door hit you where your Lord split you! We got 10 more to replace you that give shitz less about their lives than you give about yours and they work for much less money because we're cheap bastardz. So, bye bye. Next!"

If unions are no longer necessary, then why are corporations spending billions to destroy them?

Maybe you should work on the grammar a bit. People tend to take others more seriously if they can form a complete sentence. Just thought I'd help you while you're helping all the other little people in the world
