Was 10,000 at it's peak, and I saw a large group of black folks at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in this old book I found... amazing, perhaps Industrialists can help everybody... or not. Not sure how the town developed, if it was equitable, and just, or oppressive and paternalistic. Anyways... thought it was a neat fact, and figured I'd start a thread for folks who wanted to share info about the good ole dayz.

He is a piece of shit to people in southeast Kentucky. We don't care what he has to say.

Lynch was a jewel in the crown of USSteel. There were many firsts there. First electrified mine, largest coal tipple in the world and a single day production record that holds to this day! Lot of reasons to be proud of a little speck on the map
