Insensitive, cold, and heartless...that is how my Mom, who is 79 years old, described her first meeting with Dr. Overby. Her surgeon, Dr. Mitchell Levine, was out of the office and could not remove the staples in her back after her surgery. Dr. Levine is not only talented, but kind. I can't believe how callous Dr. Overby was towards her...how he hurt her. Her back is black and blue, and extremely sore; he plucked them out very fast, not stopping as my mom pleaded to go slower. He made a comment to her, "this isn't any worse than labor pains, is it?". He said this is an uncaring, cold, sarcastic tone. I am furious as I write this. What kind of a doctor does this? What kind of man does this?

I wish there was a way to contact you. My mother fell on Memorial Day, she was 93 yrs old. She had a hairline fracture in her neck. Dr. Overby was her Doctor. He put this huge brace on her neck and we went to her Doctor appts. regularly. I was told NOT to ever take the brace off, I listened, I'm a daughter not a doctor. Her last appt. was June 30,we went he did not check her out or anything just said another 6 weeks, My mother collapsed from a heart attack 1 hour later,, she was rushed to the hospital where they removed the brace, she had a major infection under her chin from the brace. She passed away July 1. He disregarded her complaints of pain and this was listed as part of her cause of death. He never cared never.
