White Pillars restaurant to reopen in Biloxi

BILOXI - The White Pillars restaurant and its famed Eggplant Josephine are a few months away from returning to the Biloxi beach.

Is this a fact? Is is really going to reopen and if so, when is the proposed date?

I do so hope the White Pillars will reopen; it was such a special time when my husband-to-be and I had dinner there; It was MAGICAL!

Don't look for it to open anytime soon. John thought he could clean up and re-open, city has him meeting all current building and fire codes. As tight as John is I doubt he's gonna sink that kinda money in that old building.

i heard the building is hauted. is this true. would like to eat there. was told the food there was the best.

do you know when it is going to reopen? they have done alot of work on it. would be nice to have another place to eat down on the beach.

My mother also used to work there many many years ago. Maybe late 60's early 70's.

This is among one of the most memorable places for me having had the opportunity to dine there on many occasions in the different room settings. The piano bar was lovely and a definate place for friends to enjoy. The pleasure of planning a large retirement party for a dear and special friend was tops. Food terrific and service delightful.
Do hope monies will be spent to bring the grandeaur of the past!

John is one of the biggest tightwads on the Coast next to his brother. I doubt that you will see The Pillars ever open again, John's obviously not gonna sink the kinda money it will take to bring that old building to current codes!
