I know of a family whose mother was stabbed to death and her husband was paying dawn duvall for sex and he implicated dawn duvall all along and the proscutor in monroe refused to believe him...she was stabbed to death just like the taxi cab driver that dawn confessed to murdering...the apple dosent fall far from the tree.

I found out about the missing hunters case after watching an episode of Cold Case Files back in 2009. I did as much research as I could, not being from Michigan, and put together a memorial site for the victims. If anyone cares to check it out, it's located at: www.DavidandBrian.info
You can also get to the web site from this URL: davidandbrian.webs.com
Please post a message in the guestbook if you visit as I appreciate the feedback.

Folks on hear really need to understand the criminal Justice System. Reasonable Doubt is much different than no doubt. I have not read the book but a a jury of their peers found that the evidence presented, against the Duvall brothers, was beyond any reasonable doubt. Conspiracy theories, aliens, or any other crazy theory can not be considered reasonable doubt. Apparently this particular Duvall family in Northern Michicigan is kind of like some families in Eastern Kentucky. Get on their badside and you end up at the bottom of a river.

For the record most crimes, especially murder, are solved by witnesses coming forward. It's not like you see on CSI. Get your head out of the TV. Witnesses, credible witnesses, came forward to tell this story. Apparently it was well known in that part of Michigan who killed those young men. Yes I spelled Michigan right this time. LOL. Like my father always said some folks are just plain mean. They would just as soon kill you as look at you. When Justice find these folks the hammer should hit them hard and fast. Their is no place in todays world for the kind of folks like the Duvall family in this story. Good Day, Joe.

I thought this kind of thing only happened in Oklahoma. What a cuckoo thing to kill a couple of obnoxious drunks just because they're obnoxious and drunk....WOW....cue the dueling banjos...

PS The school system must be awful in and around Mio. The misspelled words on here are incredible.

Does anyone know the name of the "Duvall brothes" mother. As I was reading online about the case I found some website about their mother, but they only refer to her as Ms. Duvall. It is so tragic all these families who have been hurt so deeply by these loser brothers. I hope they catch the "bystanders" so they can get what they deserve.

These brothers are no worse than others related or not convicted of similar crimes in the US. I've worked all over this country including 2 years up & down Michigan in the mid '80's. There are good & bad people evrrywhere you go. As for the innocent relatives of these guys, you can pick your friends but you can't pick your relatives.

I just read the book and found it very shocking. It reminded me of a family in Georgia that I know. Very mean violent people that everyone seems to fear. Guess we have backwoods rednecks all over the states, not just the south. Great book anyway!

Witchhunt from West Branch should read the book again! The bronco was NOT in Barbs driveway, it was a pickup truck. The bronco and another vehicle were at the scene of the crime lighting up what was going on with their headlights and Barb and her buddy were terrorized by the Duvalls at their own doorway right after it happened. I would have tried to act normal as well by trying to engross myself in a movie. Who would want to encourage retaliation from people like that right after what she and her friend saw. Good thing Witchhunt wasn't a witness, she or he can't even remember the story after reading the book.

Never liked going "Up North"...The people always reminded me of those like in the movie "Deliverance".
After reading this book I'll rather take my chances living in the mean streets of the "D"...

Why is there no mention of the other scum bags that watched these beatings? Are they going to get away with having done nothing for these two hunters. Total disgrace. They must know who these devils are too.
