its about time! this country should have never stopped building nuclear generating stations back in the eighties. we (the american people) created this energy problem, we want our tv's, computers, lights, etc... to work but we want it for free or with no risk to ourselves, the not in my backyard way of thinking. we should build more plants, reprocess(thank the carter administration for killing reprocessing in the usa) the the spent fuel instorage at our exsiting plants, to power the new stations to be built. bring back the train(electric powered)to hall goods long distances(removing alot of trucks from the roads)and use trucks for short distance deliveries. are you catching my drift here??? which save alot of oil/fuel. lets go america, "energy independence" is right around the corner!!!!

yanno wat.... instead of worrying about federal subsidies and 4 billion dollar price tags on nuclear reactors which create radioactive waste that lingers for thousands of years, why not have that 4 billion invested in wind or solar energy? wtf is the problem here? in Arizona and the desert states it should be illegal to produce power in any other way besides solar!!! thats an exageration. does anyone else have an inherent issue with leaving radioactive waste for 240,000 years or more? do we honestly believe that the human race can keep an eye on something that dangerous for that long? i dont think we should invest in nuclear technology this heavily until we find a more efficient way to harness the immense energy the technology possesses. so Constellation, why not develop a plan to put solar panels out in the desert instead of developing another reactor???????
