Parents do not approve of FAFSA?I am starting college in the fall, and I really need to find a program for a student loan. I went to apply for FAFSA today, which it needed my parent's social security numbers, but my parents are very cautious of giving their social security numbers (which is understandable and responsible, I guess), and they told me that just by providing this can lower their credit score. I don't believe this, and it really doesn't make sense to me.

I really don't see how I'm going to get ANY student loan without providing my parent's social security numbers. I really do not know much about credit reports/scores, so can someone please help me with this?
