Unfortunatley none of the candidates appear concerned about the future. I personally would like to hear more about what the candidates platforms are, and less about who did what back when. The Lunenburg SO is about twenty years outdated. There are some very good people working there. But it needs to be modernized. I wish this would be addressed. So far no one has come across as very qualified. Just b/c you were appointed Sheriff does'nt make you the man for the job, also just b/c you have 20 yrs service does not make you qualified.

Moses is the best. He has the most experience in all aspects of law enforcment, he has also worked in a supervisory position through the narcotics task force, he has been on the department longer than any of the other candidates.

Well here we have it Arthur Townsend the victor. You know to tell you the truth i voted for Randall Stoots because he is simply the most straightfoward, and direct candidate. I am simply disappointed because Townsend, was involved in many underage cases in Central High. You know whether he did or didnt he was guilty by association. Just FYI he lost a handgun in central. Just Plain unproffessional. Moses, besides narcotics and bashing stoots, led the most unproffesional and unprepared campaign in the county history. Jackson the outsider lost because this fight was personal between the other three. He never got his foot in the light, and thats why he was last.

I call B-shit, yes, I can tell you voted for Stoots. Your comments ooze of Stoots scum. Typical, spreak unsubstantiated rumors, which are totally unsourced, and unfounded, much less legaly executed. Stoots was soundly rebuked by the good folks of Lunenburg yesterday, sure it could have been jimmy moses, or arthur townsnd, but it just happen to be townsend, regarless, Stoots and his 300 + apologiste were unmistakenly show the door, or the garbage can, where they belong...go find a job as a sercurity gurard Stoots, you deserve it!

The Victoria Resident does know the facts. There is solid proof to back it up!!! The county and its politics are corrupt. There are more corrupt people in this world and when you get one man to stand up for the good of the Department and the County that is what you have to fight against. The corrupt stick together and that is what was evident in the election. There is only one person everyone needs to be prepared to answer to and that is GOD. The corrupt will have a hard time with doing that. The citizens have decided so let things be and lets see what Townsend plans on doing next.

Pleased to see the coward tossed on his tail. Tickled with the outcome, heck I think mighty highly of both Mr. Townsend and Mr. Moses. Good luck Mr. T.

To be honest I don't see anything cowardly with what Stoots did. It took guts for him to be honest and stand up for what he beleived no matter what the consequences were. We need more honest people in this world and who are not afraid to stand up to other people.

what stoots did was very stupid, you know, had he just kept his cool, ran for reelection for Townsend, he maybe just would of run. the voters of lunenburg saw Stoots' poor judgement for waht is was - a silly attempt to gain potical favor for the special election. and it backfired miserable. easy enough.

Stoots might indeed be a fine guy, he made a very dumb move, and it cost him. maybe this will be a lesson to all...your contention that what stoots did was honest and took guts...yea, funny. That hardley deserves a response. the voters have clearly demostrated that they thought it was a dumb move...can you not agree with these facts?

both Aruthr Townsedn and Jimmy Moses are professional and honest. Townsend has offered Moses back his old (and well-deserved) job back.

Townsend is off to a great start....

Stoots, say "hello" to the inmates at Jarrat for me....

With less than 50% of the registered voters voting, I would say that the majority has spoken. The results also indicate that Stoots really needs to mature in his professional management ability (or lack thereof); it's not about whether someone thinks he's a nice guy - it's about his ability to perform tasks and promote policies that are representative of the majority. Hopefully Townsend will come up with a strategic and tactical plan to build the county's justice system and redirect the archaic political agendas.
