i thought they already said that it was started by homeless that kevin from the shelter said go in and out of there, that they started a fire to keep warm as it was a wicked cold night? and the story continued to quote the families involved in this blaze that they reported many times to the city and police of the squatters....now its "unknown"? you mean a new determination not involving the city, kevin who knew of them and admitted it and also didn't do much, and the police who did nothing about it, shouldn't be involved in the final conclusion? sounds fishy just sayin! S&E get your facts straight and stop trying to hop on every event and write a story about what you "heard" rather then what really is. I'm starting to hate S$E's lies.

and they did interview a few people but S&E won't include that, kevin, the families, and the few other groups who also backed the families stories of squatters going in and out. if the building was owned by a bank they could have contacted the bank and they would have eventually come to investigate. just seems fishy that now they are "looking" for people to interview when they got enough to state what it is. I think they want to point blame and make an arrest based on suspicion alone to save somebody else's tail. hmmmmm

I don't believe that there was a decision on how the fire started. Kevin is an outreach worker for the homeless shelter. There is a massive homeless population in Fitchburg. The housing court in Fitchburg is pro slum lord!!!

The sentinel has been a problem since St.Armand took over as editor. The paper is a disorganized mess. It is a good ole boy network buletin and a Wong campaign office.

There are homeless everywhere in Fitchburg.Wait till the summer/good weather. The city has had a massive influx of gang members. These gangs have set up teritories and there territories have been overlapping. There has been fist fights, knife fights and gun fights.

I never seen Fitchburg so bad. If these problems persist as leadership ignores thatiteven exist then Fitchburg will be twice as bad as Lowell ever has been.

There is a lack of leadership!!!

yes he is an outreach worker but you lynch out of all people should realize men in high power seldom not abuse it. he is also a felon, and a clepto. though he has done a lot of helping..he is also doing alot of illegal things by violating those rights of who he simply does not like to free up beds. it's a private shelter, therefore it is not funded by the state. the state has not funded him for awhile now and many have said there is a pending investigation on his shelter that he does not even know of because his connections in fitchburg. thank the audit for the housing authority for raising stink of their workins as well as the city council blame game back and fourth when it is true...the state and city must appoint members of the housing board to work under mr hill. sad truth here is not much may be done, but it is a step forward.

however, a decision may not have been officially made, but many have come forward with credible stories of who and how it could have been started, even the S&E soon after the fire stated from the families they believe the fire to be started by homeless trying to get warm....maybe they wern't "homeless" enough for kevin to take them in? maybe no room atm? or simply...because kevin works with the police (so no way out of being told by many they were in the building before it went up in flames as it was vacant) and he travels around fitchburg on tips of were homeless are, if they are in city owned or bank owned abandoned buildings as to work with law enforcement to get them out and over them a bed inside his shelter.

if there is room....he recently took in one who was accused of a revoked license and breaking a entering with his many crack fiend friends. but took him right back in via 5 day rule of acceptance.....trust me lynch, i know as well the higher ups who speak no evil, see no evil, know no evil. but...the issue is the police, the city council, town hall, and the fpd were told many times of this place having people go in and out...many other properties across the city also have been reported but very much ignored until they had "time to deal".

also note: the fpd does not have funding much like the GPD in gardner does....i think we both know why. eventually....the pot overflows, and the hot water and steam are too much to deal with. i just hope they don't come out with a unknown reason or electrical conclusion as to why it started. it's pretty obvious that sense the night was so cold, that it's possible homeless did start the fire by making a fire inside...or use of some sort of heat source to keep warm as those buildings are just as cold inside minus the wind factor.

sadly...the family next door suffered because of negligence on the proper authorities ignorance to act, and yes....housing court is all about slum lords. same judges who are criminal judges, are housing judges. and that they do not care for state codes anymore they care for helping innocent. to them...all booked and before the court are guilty until proven innocent and were one who looks like they are "providing for the community" are higher patriarchs or honor, then tenants who pay honest rent and just want a honest place to stay in these hard times. justice's wheel is already turning very fast over the city, trust in that friend.
