President Barack Obama's 2008 election signaled a historic day in America's evolving saga of dealing with race relations.
Whether one voted for Obama or not, a majority of Americans were proud to think that an African-American had been elected to the highest office in the land.
While no Founding Father could possibly imagine such an event happening in their 18th-century world, the path they laid down for all ethnic minorities through the tenets of the Declaration of Independence and the laws of the U.S. Constitution made it conceivable.
Of course, America is still struggling with race relations. We're getting better, but the fight continues to protect civil-rights legislation mandating equal opportunities to minorities.
So it doesn't help America when the race card is overused and abused. Or the gender card.
Such is the case of Susan Rice, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, who has come under criticism by Republicans for the misleading comments she made concerning the al-Qaida attack on the U.S. consulate in Libya on Sept. 11.
Since the first salvoes were fired, House Democrats, mostly black women, have come to Rice's defense, accusing two prominent U.S. senators, John McCain of Arizona and Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, of being "racist" and "sexist" in their remarks.
They make it seem as if the senators' criticism wouldn't have happened if our U.N. ambassador were a white man.
How absurd. Even Obama has entered the fray, acting more like a Chicago mobster than a statesman in brandishing his protective White House shield for Rice, who is being considered as a potential replacement for Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
"For them to go after the U.N. ambassador, who had nothing to do with Benghazi, and was simply making a presentation based on intelligence that she had received, and to besmirch her reputation is outrageous," he said. "If Sen. McCain and Sen. Graham want to go after somebody, they should go after me."
OK, Tony Soprano, but first comes first.
As Americans have learned from former Gen. David Petraeus' secret congressional testimony, the CIA believed that more than an anti-Islamic video was the cause of the embassy attack; the Obama administration's version was fed to Rice, who regurgitated it in a series of television interviews five days after the attack. Petraeus told federal lawmakers that the planning and intensity of the attack pointed to al-Qaida links. However, someone in the Obama administration deleted the CIA assessment from Rice's talking points.
Did Rice know what the original assessment said? She should have. And even if she didn't, by the time she went on the TV shows the entire world knew that a video did not spark the attack; it was used as a cover for an assault on U.S. facilities weakened by the Obama administration's repeated refusal for more security in Benghazi.
Rice ended up lying to the American people.
McCain and Graham have seized on this deceit to put Obama's foreign policy on notice. If Rice, who should have known better, could dismiss the facts so readily, what damage could she do as secretary of state? It is a legitimate question that all federal lawmakers should be asking.
It is ridiculous to claim "racism" in the senators' quest for truth. The charge, coming from the Democrats' Black Caucus, only serves to produce deeper divisions in a strategy to denigrate people raising legitimate issues. The criticism of Rice has nothing to do with race and everything to do with her inability to challenge suspect information and demand the truth for the American people.

What more could one expect from the Community Agitator who believes in class warfare, racial warfare, ideological warfare, religious warfare, gender warfare. When you spend decades learning hate and division at the feet of Jeremiah Wright and Malcolm X, you can think of no other way to become successful but through division. It’s what community activists do.

Think about it, the race industry is a very lucrative business and its what got this president elected.

“You will never get real freedom and recognition between black and white people in this country without destroying the country, without destroying the present political system, without destroying the present economic system, without rewriting the entire constitution. It will be a complete destruction of everything that America supposedly stands for.”-Malcolm X

Get a hold of yourself, Stamos. It will be OK. There aren't black people everywhere trying to get you. We'l protect you from the Reverend Jeremiah, The Nation of Islam, Black Panthers, the President and his b-balling friends, and I thought Malcolm X had been dead for a long time. And a better racist analogy would be that the President is acting like "a Chicago gangsta," not a Chicago mobster. Mobsters are white.

Did you get beat up by black kids when you were small? If you did, it's probably only because you said something racist to them. And I bet there aren't just a few women out there that would have liked to cold-cock you at work or at one of those white only holiday parties that you'll be going to where you bitch about the demise of white America and tell "ethnic" jokes.

I told you it's all about race with you, and you proved it. Again.

Stamos, don't you have any fun hobbies? Christ, you're going to be miserable for 4 more years, you poor guy.

Well, the 47%

No Civil, in short, only cowards bow to the racist rhetoric from the race baiting crowd instead of standing up for a colorblind society based on merit and true achievement - which is what MLK was advocating.

Only cowards won't not demand from black children the same educational standards as the majority - a pernicious form of "soft bigotry" that condemns millions of minority kids to a sub-par educational achievement.

Only cowards will not demand from black people the same skill set for job entry or promotion - thus fueling even more racial animosity when policies like affirmative action or the EEOC force institutions to accept this substandard skill set on the basis of race.

Tragically, we now have a POTUS and AG whose views of racial matters are more akin to the KKK and the Aryan Nation than to those of MLK, ie, using race and the threat of (Black Panther) racial violence to advance an agenda.

Substitute "white" for "black" in their speeches and ask yourself who the community agitator and Eric “the slave” Holder really sound like. If you have the courage?

Just keep on lying Civil. You're the racist who promotes division through race. Afterall, you just made up your mind, didn't you?

This is that penthouse point of view you and your friends are appreciating at this low stage of your conservatives lives. Massah Stamos is telling blacks what's good for them,(again). Because the blacks are ignorant in not knowing how to uplift themselves. The white man's burden with a Stamos twist.

Things are bad for you guys, Stamos, but it's not the blacks you should be afraid of, it's the Hispanics. They're gonna kill you guys in 2016. You should learn more Spanish now because you're going to need it. Like when your daughter brings home an undocumented Guatemalan boyfriend or when you go to Walmart.

Stamos, do you think you're convincing with these rants? You're really just disenfranchised at this point in your life and you're only venting, right? If you are trying to persuade, who do you wish your audience to be, like skin-head wannabes or something?

Stamos, do you have any black friends? Here is a big one,any spanish friends? Republicans talk through a prism of race. What do you call an african American Stamos? Colored?? You still do not understand that itis very obvious that republicans are racists for the most part.

Remember when all the Republicans were talking in the primary on race? They labeled the entire race as welfare recipients living off the government.

Government can be the biggest law breaker.Ilike how republicans/government attempts to seperate themselves from who they are/government! LOL. The only time the republicans do well when they are at their top of their game of double talking genius.

Let me ask you how government can raise water and sewer rates by 63% while avoiding the need to abide by consumer laws??????? A real leader who represents the people would not allow this to happen!

So equality = racism

Requiring that all candidates for a position be graded equally regardless of race is discrimination in your eyes.

Look in the mirror, you'll find your racist.

You and the wanna-be Mayor should hook up for that hotdog Civil. Afterall, you come from the same herd and graze on the same bile.
You're made for each other.

If I were to compare you and the wanna-be Mayor's politics to those listed by the Communist Party USA's agenda, they would be one and the same. But if I were to ask you if you were a communist sympathizer, you would probably be taken aback calling them extremists.

I'm just glad the disenfranchised among us have these kinds of forums to bitch about their sorry lives, Stamos. That includes you. and the wannabe. You're no different from any of the other folks I joke with on this forum. Nobody reads these forums anyway, so your audience and opinions are insignificant. Good thing. If you had an audience, you could cause some real trouble.

See you Stamos!!!
