Each community joining the regional dispatch will save about $100,000 per year. Regionalization of resources is good financial responsibility. That's another 100 grand that could be used for each of those school systems.

Such negativity. Let's all sit around and doom and gloom every new idea so that nothing is ever improved upon... It must be tailored to the communities it serves and if you don't like it, withdraw. Take your 1 year of savings and leave, no loss. Likely, others will join so that the savings per member can increase.
