Did you see that confused bunch at the councilman's son house fire?Truck didn't have water, hydrant did not work (Been leaking for a year just like the one at fire dept).Only one fireman had on turnout gear and he did not know a dam thing. By the time they got there The fire had been put out with a water hose. Then at the wreck the other night they didn't have any trained people to remove the injured ones correctly. Again no turnout gear, just flip flops, and tees shirts. The way they handled the people had to cause more damage to their injuries. Pitiful bunch to depend on for fire and rescue protection.Thank god for Hazlehurst Fire Dept.

After reading your post, I could not help but wonder if you are a dumb ass.... I was also there and I counted more then one fireman in turnout gear... Also the truck did have water in it.. If you knew the hydrant had not worked in a year why didnt you complain about it???? Concerned much?! And no the fire was not put out with a water hose, a neighbor used it until the fire department arrived. FYI...Firemen wear turnout gear to prevent them from being burned, it's not required at a wreck unless they are using the jaws of life. If you are so concerned about things why don't you grow a set and get ot from beind that computer and bring it to the Mayor and Council?!!! Or maybe since you know so much you should join the department and see if you can do any better... chances are, you are the pitiful one!

I was also present at the fire. You are correct that there was more than one fireman there with turnout gear on. However, i think most if them were from Hazlehurst. Those guys got there and really fixed LC's screwups. Their superior training really showed. Maybe they can get Hazlehurst to train them.

The hell you say! I was fighting fires while you where still dreaming about it. This is a piss poor bunch. There were several rules of fire fighting violated that day.1. entering a burning structure without BAs on .2.entering a burning structure with out a live line(that is a charged fire hose).3. all trucks should be filled with water after all fires.4. the operator of the truck should know how to operate pumping system. 5.Should have a valid class 5 license.6. should conduct monthly inspections of fire hydrants to ensure they work.If you would have read up on your chief duties then your dumb ass would of known about the hydrant. Maybe we need to contact Forsyth and conduct a inspection? For as the wreck goes there were several un-certified responders involved in it also. Walking around talking on cell phones and pretending to know what the hell is going on.For as bringing it to the mayor goes, it has been done several times.

I mean, does the firemen from Hazelhurst always have to come all the way over here to put the fires out or is this a one time thing?
