Certainly forgiveness should take place however, that does not mean to allow him right back into the pulpit and spit in God's face! He MUST be accountable for what he has done. He had an enormous responsibility to the congregation and he WILL be judeged accordingly.

This bunch had better wake up... They act like they can't believe it but I'm willing to bet there were telltale signs that were ignored. All this sickening talk about forgiveness is an attempt to gloss it over and to lay more grief onto victims. Why punish the victims further? Because dealing with the issue at hand, that their pastor is a perv and some chose to overlook it when most likely there were signs, means that these sweet talking types are accountable too. People just want it to go away because they are embarassed. The pastor is accountable for his actions and the untold hurt he has caused. People in churches need to wake up... bunches of pastors are on line soliciting sex and looking at porn and the rest of the time act so religious and holy. Wives, you had better wake up too if your husband spends too much time on the internet rather than put your head in the sand.

I am shocked. I am fairly a newcomer to this area and live in the same neighborhood and had no idea this was going on. There needs to be more publicity about this so we can keep out children safe. There were kids always at the pastor's house.

We do not live in a world anymore where many Doctors, Ministers, Priests, Presidents, Lawyers or Congress have any 'real values'. Even most of the Church's congregation today looks the other way. Their values are not so great either. I can't tell you just how many women I have met since moving to the south that tell me horrific stories about their husbands having affairs w/women in their own Church. If all of these things are going on within the Church...then why be surprised about the Minister! From what I have seen here, most everyone attends Church & pretends to be 'so Christian like', while so many men as well as women are out having affairs...breaking up marriages & ruining their children's lives. Alot of the men also depend upon their wives to support them...instead of doing what a 'real man' would do & allow the women to stay home if they want to & care for the children.
No...none of us are 'perfect', only when it comes to living a 'Christian' life...quit being so darn hypocritical...you are only fooling yourselves...no one else & certainly not my 'GOD'.
