Gee, wonder what happened to make the 'golden girl' not work in law enforcement for the City of Huntington any longer???

I know I usually try and refrain from "grapevine" gossip but this was just too good not to share. It seems the City truck Bruce uses is now equipped with dog kennels. Also it has been mentioned his absence at City Hall has been noticed. Has he finally found something to do? I have noticed our free roaming dogs has increased, maybe he's helping the dog catcher out.

Someone asks, "How far do we go with this?" The answer, "To the moon and back if necessary." There shall be no stone left unturned. Light shining into the darkest of places, all shall be revealed. You better hold on to your hat, this may become a bumpy ride.

Question, someone says the "timing" is what bothers them most about what happened with the HVFD. It does seem peculiar that this all happened within days of the harassment suit being filed against the City. Anyone else wonder if the HVFD drama is being used to divert our attention from BM and his problems? Who seems to keep adding fuel to the fire with the HVFD? Now that he has separated the HVFD completely from the City, what new development will he come up with to keep us diverted from the real problem the City is facing?

Hey ..... Don't knock grapevines!!
Many of us country boys "smoked" grapevines back in the 40's.
Likewise dried cornsilk.

Actually, the harassment suit was filed with the EEOC a year ago, so I don't think there is a connection, but I do see how BM is using the problems that have come about with the HVFD to divert attention.

Since I have posted the orginal petition and the answer to the petition in the Federal Lawsuit against the City of Huntington, I would imagine this might have caused a considerable stirr. I would imagine the problems with the HVFD are a distraction from this lawsuit.

It goes to the usual "smoke and mirrors" that is so often used by the City Hall management. The problems with the HVFD have sure taken center stage around here. Leaving less time for discussing the lawsuit against the City and the resulting effects it will have. I wonder why they are so concerned about the bad publicity from this grapevine, what they should concern themselves with is the way the public is seeing our City right now. It seems everywhere BM goes, he leaves chaos in his wake. Just look at Zavalla, Huntington, County Health Department, HVFD, the County VFD Board, what's the common factor?

It seems that there is a staunch BM and/or BG follower here on Topix because all of a sudden there is a lot of negative judgements on any post that is in opposition of BM of BG.... maybe it is BM and BG themselves giving these negative judgements. My favorite is the 'clueless' judgement >smile< sure wish if I was so clueless that those judgers would put the facts out there (with proof available would be nice)

<quoted text>So what - who cares? It's only our tax money, if they don't blow it one way, they will find another way. Just as well pay a lawyer as go out for another meal or fill their gas tanks up. In my opinion it's all poor judgment but who am I? Oh I forget, I'm one of the ones paying for those stupid decisions. Oh it's amazing just how much of that money he saves when it comes to the City's upkeep and oh so amazing how much he blows for his own needs, wants, and desires.
Hmmmm....yet we seem to have the City Attorney at just about every Council meeting now, except the last one. We are having a forensic audit done, going back to 2008...and did I hear correctly?$100. an hour? I pray that is not true. You set out to get rid of him, he's gone, please move on. Ohhh and how could I forget we have another lawsuit.

Are you blind or something? Can't you read? I've been on here practically every day...except weekends. But you flatter me when you miss me so much. But then...it's a bit disturbing.

Who is she speaking of? Saying he uses our tax money for his own "needs, wants, and desires"? Where is the evidence of that? Surely if someone was funneling money they would be fired quickly? I looked for that quote but I didn't see where you got it from. I'm just wondering where the black and white is on that accusation? I'm sure someone has it or we wouldn't be spreading things like that over the internet, would we?

Actually in Huntington...that comment just verifies to me and others that this councilwoman has continually made false claims and is about to get her comeuppance...and she knows it, too. Why else spout out these accusations and now that's she's one of the top dogs, she's left her feeding bowl. I can't imagine a person like that on our council. Would have never thought that the citizens here would have stooped so low to vote in someone with such contempt in their hearts. I guess the voter turnout says a lot. A true shame for our town.

After over 800 posts, this thread is completed.. thru... done.... kaput ....

TIME TO MOVE ON:

1. Anyone can file a lawsuit against anyone for anything. Don't mean they will collect.

2. These councilmen/women were elected by a majority of the qualified voters that voted. They have a right and mandate to serve out their term no matter by how many votes they won.
We had two presidents elected by ONE vote.
We had a sheriff here in Angelina County that one by one or two votes. That was Pete McBride against Leon Jones.

3. It appears to me that there are only three or four motormouths on here agitating.

4. Having a recall election is a WASTE of money and IF it did succeed there would be another bunch of agitators after the ones replacing the these and all will start again.

5. The "American Way" is to take care of these things at election time.
