Well,well,well....Little miss perfect, holy roller, two-faced, back-stabbing,selfish and disrespectful Gregson is whom I suppose we are discussing. LOL!!! Is she in the hot seat now? Maybe she should think about these things before she jumps up and opens her huge mouth and starts stirring rumors and ruining others names. She needs to learn how to treat people. Maybe her and her sidekick milstead could go to a class together and learn how to control their tempers and how to respect others! Yepp they will probably stay in the same room!

Both Milstead and Gregson are very disrespectful people!!!They both think they are above the law. Hopefully in the near future they will both get what they deserve!!!!!

So the city put it out like the officers used their own discretion not to arrest betsy or her son. I thnk common sense tells you that the officers wanted to keep their jobs. How ridiculus is it that the city has done so many people so dirty that the officers are jeopardizing there own safety in fear of pissing the wrong employee, council member or the mayor off.

I agree with most of what's being said but also know if Grant (Betsy’s son) did assault the officer it's up to the officer to decide rather or not to pursue that offense. He decided not to, though for unknown reasons, when he should have. If the citizens of Huntington would have started speaking up many years ago about what has been going on in the city's ranks then things wouldn't be so bad today. The attitude of “why bother we can’t do anything” is the reason the city is so corrupt today. And not knowing how to handle and go about making the problem known is also a problem. My suggestion: hold a community meeting. Not a "city meeting" but a community meeting where all residents can attend. Just make sure to have a mediator there to keep things orderly and DO NOT allow arguments to break out and disrupt the reason everyone is there. All serious citizens can then come together, talk, gather the needed information and go talk to an attorney willing to talk to and possibly tackle the corruption in the city’s ranks. Individuals going to city council meetings where they’re just going to be shut down when speaking isn't going to do anything. Writing a letter to the paper isn't going to do anything but put the city on the defensive. Sometimes you have to calm down, think clearly, seek advice and then take action. Think outside the box and THINK BIG!

I do hope someone has truly looked beyond any mistakes Mr. Quin and Ms McClendon may have made in their attempt to bring attention to what the Mayor and City Council are doing in their selfish operation of city business. Is it ok for the mayor to eat, drink and be merry all on Credit cards that the towns people foot the bill for? Maybe, just maybe someone will stir their own anger when they finally start asking questions of their own. Besides, what an unlikely pair those two make. Danger can come from the most unlikely places. They get E for effort in my book!!!

TallpinesETX you are so right!!! If the mayor is eating, drinking, and being merry on the Credit Cars the towns people foot the bill for, then what other fun is city employees and council having at the towns people's expense??

Community meetings....wouldn't that be great! Would anyone be interested? Would people show up? Does anyone that's considered neutral interested in getting this started? What about a 30 minutes before Council meetings, Council be available to just chit chat with the Citizens? Any ideas of getting something started?
