Now the real truth comes out. You don't like me "meddling" in Huntington affairs but you are not a resident either. You don't like be told to sit down and shut up but you like telling me to. Diddly, why not get on the same page as me?
There is a difference in diddly's Huntington address, and your Lufkin address, Up Up & Away. He shared his connection & reasons to have an interest in the city. The only truth coming out here is more about who you are.

Okay, Then the bills weren't being done by the city employees anyhow?!
I believe the bills were being done at City Hall until about 4 months ago by the office staff. My only comment about the outsourcing is the delay in getting the bills, hopefully that can be improved with time. My suggestion is to go to the City website and sign up for the bill online, it was uploaded yesterday! I am impressed although I will not be paying online, the convenience fee of $4.94 seems a little high.

I have not heard a word about the audit. I am waiting for my invitation to meet with them when they return for a few days of follow up, I figure it should be in April but that is a guess on my part. The Agenda should be posted Monday and we'll all get a look.

Meeting last night appears to have a glitch in their get a long. I'd appreciate anyone that was there compare the AG Handbook and what happened during the "Closed Session", see if you notice a problem.
It would appear the closed session last night was illegal according to the AG Handbook.
All discussions and decisions as a result of that closed meeting is null and void.

F. Who May Attend a Closed Session
Only the members of a governmental body have a right to attend an executive session,
308
except that the governmental body’s attorney must be present when it meets under section 551.071.
A governmental body has discretion to include in an executive session any of its officers and
employees whose participation is necessary to the matter under consideration.

The members from the AC VFD committee were not allowed to attend the closed session, all of that discussion should have been done in open session from how I read it.
Have I misunderstood what it says?

From http://www.statutes.legis.state.tx.us/Docs/GV...
Sec. 551.071. CONSULTATION WITH ATTORNEY; CLOSED MEETING. A governmental body may not conduct a private consultation with its attorney except:

(1) when the governmental body seeks the advice of its attorney about:

(A) pending or contemplated litigation; or

(B) a settlement offer; or

(2) on a matter in which the duty of the attorney to the governmental body under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with this chapter.

Re: "Up Up and Away is BACK!"

You got out of jail, Huh?

Manuela didn't answer my question, and by your previous answer, inacar, you have never met Up Up and Away either, so you have no idea exactly who you have been allowing to push you OR what their agenda really is.

I think we recently found out WHO he is and his game is "havoc."

I don't think "Up Up and Away" is really interested in getting you elected, and probably will actually COST you votes.

I do understand what you are saying but if people judge me by who I talk to well so be it. If I can learn anything from someone, whether it is Up, BG, BM, or you, I try and see what they have to offer that makes the process easier. Everyone has something to offer, a different point of view, a different opinion, that's how I learn. If I only watch and listen to one group of people my view gets very confined and I start missing things. I like seeing all views of a subject and then going on from there. Some of my best lessons have been at the hands of people I do not agree with on any level but they do have information that helps the cause.
I hope people understand this is a learning process for me, I have to listen to everyone to get a better picture of how things are.

for your information Diddly.... I requested records from the city before I even knew about topix. Which means NO ONE is telling me what to do when it comes to records request. When I make a request, I have my own reasons... FYI, ever thought that maybe I did so for one of my college classes?? yea, I didn't think so.

Whether I requested records from Huntington, Lufkin, or Ten Buck too, or anywhere, It is my right to do so. As for as Manuela or Inacar, they are grown ladies with a Mind of their own. I don't entice them to do anything. They read what I say on Topix and do what they want to do. It is you didly who has a burning desire to entice people. YOu want people to hate me. If they do, they do. But at your age, it is a plain shame you can't have higher morals and ethics. If you think you have caused me to be upset or lose sleep, you are dead wrong. All you do is amuse me. I enjoy occasionally responding to your nonsense. It keeps interest in Topix alive. They say its bad when people think you are a fool. What is even worse is when you open your mouth and prove it to them.

The question I asked you, Manuela (and inacar) was if either of you had ever actually met Up Up and Away in person face to face.
I STRESSED THAT I WASN'T ASKING YOU TO NAME (OR IDENTIFY) "Up Up and Away".

Inacar DID respond with a kind of "non answer" about not conspiring etc etc etc, but didn't say if she had ever actually "SEEN" this person.

Manuela didn't respond at all

Don't see what it matters whether or not I have "SEEN" this person, but if it makes you happy, I will answer your question... No, I have not seen this person... you can sleep at night having this information.

Let me clarify my answer, I have seen who betsy has said is Up, whether she knows what she's talking about I don't know. And I have seen David Stua at the Council meetings, he identified himself, so I can assume I have seen him. As you know there are people on here that pretend to be what they are not. People do have a choice to express their opinion within their own comfort level. Who they are and what they do is their business, I prefer hearing what people think, what their views are and then at times, I have requested information to confirm what they have said to see if it's true. I believe the only request I have made that may have been suggested is the credit card receipts and that was something every Citizen should request and see for themselves. Even you Diddly, it's eye opening to say the least.

I was under the impression that this particular thread was called 'Huntington City Meetings- Posted'? I actually agreed with inacar when she opened this thread, so we could use it to post meeting and agendas. I'm not sure why the junk mail is being spammed to this one as well? Anyone can look up a Facebook account, and hopefully everyone is careful what they post online to a public profile. I'm not sure what that has to do with the posted meetings and agendas though.
