Bruce Milstead is a snake in the grass, so if you consider that awesome, more power to you. He is only out for number one (himself) and could care less about anyone else. I won't say more because I could go on all day.....

I was in in downtown Huntington at noon a few days ago and the noon siren didn't sound.

I thought it had been determined that it would continue for nostalgia purposes.

Lamar Tinsley as Mayor restored it before he died.
Huntington voters should be electing folks who were born and raised in the Huntington area.

Re whoknew?
My Connection is that I went to school in Huntington. I own property and have lived within 6 miles all my life except for 6 years in the US Army. I still trade in Huntington. The old fire siren still sits on the water tower in the middle of town, still is in working order, costs very little in power to run for 30 seconds once a day, and the old folks like it.

The city of Huntington is currently being sued. To wit: Case No. CV-00651-11-07 DEADRA COMBS vs. THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON, TEXAS AND TEXAS WORKFORCE COMMISSION. It is also my understanding a sexual harassment claim has been filed with the EEOC by Deadra Combs. I have submitted open records requests to the city for:

All correspondence from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission that relates to DEADRA COMBS, a former employee. I do not want any pending litigation documents as it relates to DEADRA COMBS vs. THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON, TEXAS AND TEXAS WORKFORCE COMMISSION Cause # CV-00651-11-07. Just correspondence from the EEOC.

This request was submitted via certifed mail number 7010 0780 0000 6650 5131.

The attorney for the City is aware of this request. The attorney is required by law to send a letter to me informing me he is requesting an attorney general opinion. The letter must be a copy of the letter sent to the Attorney General. This letter is due May 16, 10 business days from the receipt of the request. Likewise, at 15 days from receipt of request, the brief the attorney sends to the attorney general because they wish to hold the requested records CONFIDENTIAL, I am supposed to receive a copy of the letter. ANYONE can submit their comments to the attorney general as to why these records should or should not be held confidential. I will post the case id and the address of the attorney general soon.

Please submit your own briefs and comments. It is alleged Dedra Combs was sexually harass. We need to verify who the alleged perpetrator is and what happen.

Why should I not be interested? Some things needs to be brought to light. This is one of them.

There are plenty of things that should be brought into the light around huntington... It sure is funny how money and stature change opinion.

Well I don't. I know them at the pd. They have the best pd now than they have had in a long time. They are all hard working and dependable officers. Lots of good things said by the local citizens.
