This accident that happened the past week is a very horrible tragedy ! My heart goes out to Alice and Sean (the parents of Shawnee McGowen) She was one of my friends that i could look up to and count on ! She was a very pretty girl and to young for this to happen to her , people will miss Shawnee - also Ariona was a very pretty 8 year old and had her goals set for life already - but i mean , things happen in life you can't explain , i hope the parents of Ariona will forgive Sean and Alice for this tragedy - stuff liek this happens everyday in the world ... and you people on here that are talking bad about Alice you need to stop , because you didnt get a chance to know her before you judged her .

My heart goes out to the two sets of parents involved in this tragedy. If this type of occurrence was, indeed, common practice in the community, then I don't feel anyone should condemn this lovely little girl. She was doing what she had done before and, obviously, was giving her brothers and friends a little treat.

Driving without a licence is also a common practice on farms, here in Alberta, Canada, as preteens help their parents with chores etc. Occasionally, young boys decided to go for a yoyride and also, end up in major accidents. Unfortunately, awful things do happen.

The fact that the truck went out of control and ended up on a county rode is unfortunate, but, it was out of the hands of the little girl. Shawnee didn't drive there purposely and she probably was trying to turn around before she did enter the roadway. She , more than likely, died a hero, attempting to turn the truck around so her little friends wouldn't get hurt from traffic on that road.

Until all the investigating is completed, please honor little Shawnee and Ariona with the benefit of the doubt. Their parents are hurting and their friends and siblings need your compassion now more than ever. God wanted these little girls home to be with Him and ,if this accident had not been the conduit to heaven, I'm sure a different one would have been. God Himself, chose the time and place; little Shawnee and Ariona didn't.

Much love,

I am Arianna's mom. Put yourself in my shoes please! Shawnee had no business driving that truck. Both of her parents were home at the time. I am a working mother and have lost my daughter. Her brother and sister have not slept a full night since losing their sister and Ani has a brother that will never get to meet her, hold her hand, or hug her. My heart breaks everyday and I will not let her death be in vain.

I just learned of this site, and although it's been a while since this tragedy took place; I was not too pleased at some of these responses. Knowing some of the people who made comments here, knowing the Mcgowan family, my child knowing not only Shawnee but also Arianna...And knowing how Long County operates. My heart and prayers goes to all the victims of this tragedy. That includes all parents, and the children and their families. So many people in Long County have nothing better to do but "gossip" and speculate about who is or isn't responsible/they also want to voice about justice, God's plan, Jesus, etc. etc. And knowing some of the people speaking about "God's Plan" are the same ones out there on the streets of Ludowici gossiping and spreading their poison as well as wreaking havoc on others lives just because of who they are related to or "live with". People need to just respect the rights and privacy of all involved. Corruption reins supreme in this little county; I can honestly say it because I've seen it, and been victimized by it. Who is to say if justice will prevail; only time will tell. And who is to say what that justice should be. For many, it's who you know, who you're related to, how much money you have, and what political connections you have that determine justice in Long County. It's sad, but it's a fact. Many people are suffering from this tragedy; and for years to come that pain will remain. Money and connections will not buy you a good night's sleep and it can't buy redemption. Redemption can only be found through Jesus. Peace can only be found through Jesus. And whether or not justice prevails here on earth or not; the ultimate judge will decide...and that is your maker. So for everyone who feels they can cast judgement remember the Lord said: vengence is mine. He also says: Judge not lest you be judged. Suffering comes in many forms, and all parties involved are suffering pain, loss, and sorrow. Pray for all of them. Stop gossiping about all these unfortunate people, you only add to their pain. Naomi, I couldn't fathom the pain you and your family has been through. I pray all of you find peace and healing. God hears your cries and feels your pain. Alice, I can't know the suffering and pain you go through. God hears your cries and feels your pain too. All of you are suffering pain of a different sort; and I pray ALL of you find peace in knowing none of you are alone. May God Bless You All.

BY accident, I am back on this site..almost a year later. I sincerely hope that the pain and anger has begun to subside and that healing can be felt by all. It was such a tragic event that touched so many people; please make a concerted effort to bring peace and closure to each other, and especially, to Shawnee and Arianna's families.

Big hug to Naomi Seager, Arianna's mom. Your hurt is palpable. Perhaps you could think of some way to redirect your pain by creating a memorial to your lovely daughter....one that will benefit other children.Perhaps you could donate copies of your daughter's favorite books to the local daycare or elementary school with a lovely insert that tells about your daughter's adventures/pets/favorite activities...and her picture.

Arianna's death will not have been in vain; a) she's with Jesus and b) you can share her in a positive manner with those who never knew her.

Big hug to Sawnee's mother.....perhaps you could join Naomi in creating a lovely memorial to your daughter, too. Don't let the negative people in the community cotrol your everyday life. Be strong. God said; 'Suffer the little children to come unto Me.' They are safe and at peace. Go forward.

To All, an early death, we must remember to go we must reach, the death is devastating to those whom remain but in death there is freedom. As I have heard many times ,the good die young! God dose exist and with events I have endured I can say that he has another agenda for them other wise they would still be here. As babies we have short legs so we can fall without hurting our selves, but death still occurs. Restrict with caution as restriction may cause death also.

2012, and I am telling someone about my daughter. I came on here and saw the sweet comments you posted about my daughter Arianna. I miss her terribly and I miss her smile more than anyone:( We created a memorial bench in her memory at Cracker Williams Park in Jesup and there is an award in her memory presented every year at the third grade graduation ceremony at her school Smiley Elementary

Its been a while since Alice was judged by so many people ....I know if upset her a lot. I guess she has forgotten how that feels because it seems that she is judging someone right now and she doesn't even know them very well...it is a shame because she is judging her own family and talking about things she knows nothing about. I don't understand someone that tells everyone how great she is but talks so bad about other people. I used to have respect for her but not anymore. I hope that people don't listen the to crap that she is spreading around...she has no idea what she is saying and only God has the right to judge people Alice. I am sure he is watching you act like you are better than everyone else.
