Do you know why the rent off base is $750-$1400 a month!? BC the military's BAH will pay for it!

When you enlisted in the ARMY you knew that you may get deployed. When you were stationed at Fort Stewart, you were almost guaranteed a Combat Action Ribbon.

Hinesville doesn't hate soldiers.
Hinesville hates the sense of entitlement that soldiers wear on there chest today.
Hinesville is made up of Veterans and their dependants who, for some reason I'll never understand (thanks Dad), decided to stay here when they got out or retired, to say all of Hinesville hates soldiers is a stretch.

Let me correct you, Hinesville was a nice little town when Ft. Stewart was still small Camp Stewart. I can't deny that there has been a lot of money made because of the base, but if you ask those who have been around for decades they will tell you that they wished it was like it was before the base enlarged. If you don't like Hinesville, that's your problem. Nobody asked you to move here. As for your BAH not covering your rent, the rest of us have NO supplements to help pay our rent/mortgage. Stop complaining. Nobody owes you anything and nobody cares if you live here or not.

I have not walked in your shoes, but I have walked in your husband's! BAH was put in place specifically for off post housing allowances. Not knowing your husband's rank or the amount of rent you were suckered into, I can't tell you where you blow all that money.
As an E4, 1077 is more than enough for rent on a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom house, however that may not cover the tag/note/insurance on your brand new car or what you owe RAC or Aaron's.
