<quoted text>Yes, I did see that, in fact, it was in the quoted text to which I replied.

Perhaps you missed this part...

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/...
3) The vast majority of households that don’t pay federal income taxes are either elderly or paying payroll taxes. As you can see below, 60 percent of those who don’t pay income tax are still working and paying taxes for Social Security and Medicare. Their tax liability is just too low to qualify for the income tax. Another 22 percent of non-payers are retirees.

Only about 7.9 percent of households are not paying any federal taxes at all. That’s usually because they’re either unemployed or on disability or students or are very poor.
..........
Or maybe you missed this part...

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/...
4) Many low-income workers don’t pay federal income taxes thanks, in part, to a series of tax cuts endorsed by Republicans over the years.

...For instance, most (though not all) elderly households are excluded from paying taxes on their Social Security benefits. And low-income workers with children can qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit or the Child Tax Credit. As Keith Hennessey explains, the latter was a major GOP initiative during the 1990s and 2000s, and conservatives used to tout them as vital poverty-reduction measures...
..........
Course the point, as usual, is the context of the statement. Within the very narrow confines of the words that are spoken it is certianly a true statement, but then that narrow statement does not represent the entire picture. It's really not relevant because it is out of context.
Great post.

It's amazing how hard the Right Wing Wackos have to work to avoid the facts and knowledge that is so easily accessible now thanks to the Internet.

I imagine the filters on their search engines are always set to "maximum filtration" to avoid confrontation with reality.

But maybe on Right Wing Planet the Church and the Oligarchy does the filtration for them.

Thankfully, South Carolina exists as a living, breathing, accessible locale, where Right Wing Wacko policies are in effect.

The rest if the country can observe and decide if they want to implement the Right Wing Wacko policies that have made South Carolina among, if not the worst, least educated, poorest, fattest, unhealthiest, corrupt, and most racist state in the Union.

Or, we can look to Somalia, sometimes called Southern South Carolina.

Your unable to comprehend the written or spoken word. She wasn't saying that it made no difference at all. She was saying that it should not be at the top of list of priorities to continue to speculate what happened. That we should be after the ones who did it and to make sure it isn't possible for it to happen again. She took responsibility and resigned. What more do you want??? It was her job and she done what any leader would and should have done. Maybe she's not as bad as I thought.

The left need to defend the Obama issues/ideology and leave Bush out of it. Bush doesn't have a thing to do with the happenings in America today. Only time will tell but I believe Bush will end up in History in a much better position than Obama who may actually be the president that brings America completely to her knees. No matter all her (America) problems she was still the best nation in the world. No one can deny America's world position has deteriorated since Obama was elected. And more Americans support the socialist view than ever before. The sad part about that is history proves socialism doesn't work in the long run. I love my country but I fear she will never go back to what we all grew up knowing. Very Sad to me.

You really want to have some fun? Look at a state like California who has seen extremely quick and positive changes by implementing Democratic policy recently.

Compare that to Kentucky, home of the not-so-honorable Mitch McConnell, a perfect microcosm of how America would look under complete Republican policy.

The differences are stark.

Hicks testifies the security team at Benghazi had been reduced from 14 down to 4. The security team was reclassified and assigned to the U.S. Special Operations Command, Africa away from the Counterterrorism Security Group after 2 of them was attacked before the attack ever occurred on Benghazi.
The local security team had 4, the Counterterrorism Security Group was not allowed to respond to the attack and the U.S. Special Operations Command response team was told to stand down.
Results being there was no effort made to support the people at Benghazi.

<quoted text>It's real easy.

You want to legalize drugs but outlaw tobacco.
Hey Boys and Girls !

It's Right Wing Wacko Straw Man Arguments time !

But this time, let's play and actually respond to Mr. Straw Man.

Here we go-

1. Having worked full time since age 17, and now working full time after retiring, I seem to be working to entitle Right Wing Wacko ingrates to Socialist Security, Medicare, Part D, and all the benefits society offers. Why aren't you grateful ?

2. Bush:
- is a war criminal who caused the unnecessary deaths of thousands of Marines,
- caused the unnecessary death of hundreds of thousands of civilians,
- bankrupted the nation with his $6,000,000,000,000.00 wars,
- shredded the Constitution with his UnPatriot Act,
- destroyed the economy, the banking system, and the Middle Class.

Obama killed bin Laden, Hitler has been dead since 1945.

Saddam never attacked me or my country. In fact Saddam an American asset who was on the CIA payroll, and provided hundreds of millions of dollars in military aid as he held Iran in check, and was our bestest buddy until he started objecting to certain oil contracts.

So yes, unless your a moron, you'd have to say Bush was, and is more dangerous to America than Saddam.

3. I believe war criminals like Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld should be in prison.

I don't really care who the president has sex with, or if he or she has sex at all. Thats a Right Wing Wacko obsession. The concern I have with politicians lying (that's what they do after all), is when Bush and his ilk's lies cause massive death and destruction, for their personal gain.

4. I believe that teachers should make a minimum of $100K a year to handle which after being a parent, is the most important job in the universe, educating and preparing our kids for global competition. With $100K, you get pretty damn good teachers.

5. I have no idea why some people are straight, why some are gay, why some are asexual, or why some like to hang naked, upside down, from bird feeders, smoking Chesterfield Lights, while their partner whips them with strings of beads made from those macaroni shells used to make crafts in third grade. What's more - I don't care.

6. Being a old straight guy with children, over the years I've discovered there is a big difference between men and women. Women are smarter, tougher, meaner, and always make you feel that you've screwed up somehow, but that they're just too nice to tell you.

7. I have no special knowledge of Climate Change Causality and have no idea if you even spelled Kyoto correctly.

8. I think that's your Right Wing Wacko position, although I can't tell if your describing Ronnie Ray-Gun or Bush.

9. Bush couldn't "mastermind" a two car parade.
He was and is a shill put into office to assure the überrich were able to steal and plunder as much wealth from the middle class as possible, through massive unfunded tax cuts for the rich, deregulating businesses, especially banks, starting and waging unfunded and unnecessary wars, and creating a massive budget deficit after Clinton left him a budget surplus.

Hey, Bush did what President Cheney, his fellow draft dodging corporate shill instructed - any fool can follow orders.

As for bin Laden, Bush admitted ordering the bin Ladens in America be escorted to "safety" by American Fighter jets; as that when Obama was located in Tora Bora, he pulled the troops from the area to invade Iraq; and that it took Obama to kill the SOB.

Does that help you understand how normal people think at all ?

Glad to help.

<quoted text>You mean to say that you're NOT EMBARRASSED that Republican voters could be so stupid as to let this man have a significant role in the affairs of the American people?

From June 18 until June 24, 2009, the whereabouts of Sanford were unknown to the public, as well as to his wife and the State Law Enforcement Division, which provides security for him, garnering nationwide news coverage. The absence of Governor Sanford was first reported by Jim Davenport of the Associated Press.

Lieutenant Governor André Bauer announced that he could not "take lightly that his staff has not had communication with him for more than four days, and that no one, including his own family, knows his whereabouts."

Before his disappearance, Sanford told his staff that he would be hiking on the Appalachian Trail and while he was gone he did not answer 15 cell phone calls from his chief of staff Scott English; he also failed to call his family on Father's Day.

He hasn't exactly exhibited good judgement. Yet now he gets to vote on nuclear policy and foreign affairs and health care and taxes?

FURTHER PROOF REPUBLICANS ARE IRRESPONSIBLE and DANGEROUS VOTERS.

In its April 2010 report watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington named Sanford one of eleven worst governors in the United States because of various ethics issues throughout Sanford's term as governor and his time in Congress.
