It looks like our political leaders don't get it." WE DON'T WANT A GAS TAX INCREASE." Re-institute the Ma. Pike tolls. One dollar per vehicle upon entering. It's not rocket science. Maine & N. H. do it. Therefore those that use the road will help pay for it's maintenance.

First it was 28 cents and everybody said boo and protested. Now it's 19 cents and we still say boo and protested.
Next, it will be reduced to say 10 or 12 cents and we'll all say hooray, what a relief. It's ONLY 10 or 12 cents.
It's what they really wanted folks. They'll laugh their heads off and it will be business as usual and then run for re-election under a "working for you" banner.

The elected leadership from outside of the Boston Metro area needs to stand up. No one should have to pay an increased gas tax. The state should better manage existing revenues.
