I agree with your observations, we have ladies who wear hijab dropping their kids at school. They keep to themselves and don't talk. It does seem to be a form of social control. Like a prison. The burqa is one step worse. At some point a psychologist has to brave enough to say that putting girls in burqas is tantamount to child abuse.
