In the beginning, I was so grateful for the friendship that Chris allowed me to have. allowed being the key word. Since then, Chris has been focused on only one goal, that is, getting his book published. Although he remarked that he is loyal to his friends, he dropped me like a hot potato, why? Because "love" became mired into the scene and he had no room for it. Chris, if you're reading this at some point, know that deep within my heart, I'll always remember you. Sorry it didn't work out between us, but your independence, combined with your stubbornness, is what killed it. Good luck on your book. well, Sue H. from St. Paul, I DID see that site's remarks and really, knowing that situation as I did, I think he had it coming. She did everything for him and if it didn't go the way he wanted..EXACTLY his way, he yelled at her-- alot. A person can only take so much! Never mind that in 2 months he sold almost 200 books, it was not enough. I flew in from Oregon just as soon as I heard about all of this. She was being threatened by her jealous ex husband for working with Chris, she was even shot in the arm by him! Yet their was no real valid response from the author other than fearing for his OWN life. So much for friendship! yup, it WAS a soap opera, one that I am glad they are both out of.

Word around a small town sure travels fast. I do not like what I am hearing regarding this whole thing. The new "celebrity" is saying bad things about the one who gave him his star and I don't appreciate it at all. I have known her for several years. Her heart is in the right place, whatever the "new celebrity" did to warrant whatever scenario has come up is between him and her, yet HE is broadcasting it to the town via his workplace! I would suggest, Mr Swanson, that you keep your comments to yourself. You obviously are spoiled and have higher expectations than what has actually occurred. Look at the accomplishments of the one who gave you your start, and keep your sour grapes quiet. At this time, you are in no position to speak up negatively. Thank you.

Only you can be the judge, go to the barnesandnoble.com website for Celebrity Sins, check out the reviews. It is not always positive. be honest, then ask yourself, why would you support someone through sales who slams his meal ticket as has Mr Swanson? Be responsible! Do the right thing.

Chris is a fine author, but it is the work he has written for "Called to Serve," with Diane Ganzer, that proves where his talent lies. His war poems are making waves with the US military...the USMC has given this one two thumbs up. Come to the Luck library Nov 15th from 11- 1 pm and meet Diane Ganzer. It wasn't too long ago today that I had the pleasure of speaking with Ms. Ganzer. I have been trying for quite awhile to secure her attention. It would appear that Mr. Swanson is now biting the hand that fed him, by pulling his poems out of the book they share, "Called to Serve." What Ms. Ganzer has done is take an obscure "author" and propel him to heights most writers can only imagine. She gave him not one but TWO books to share the spotlight with, and this is how he repays her generous spirit.
Chris, it appears that I was wrong about you. Your war poems shine, but your personality does NOT! Your fifteen minutes of fame has ended, as has your charm. Give it up, before you disgrace yourself even more. Better yet, write that sequel to Celebrity Sins, but leave it at only one page in length, and you be that FIRST page!!! It'll be a best seller...in your eyes only and for all those narcissistic people that you hang out with. As for me, my weight is behind Diane 100%. Sure her work is tell all...watch out, Chris, I hear that a book about you is currently underway!! Kudos to her!

I wish to clarify a statement Mr Swanson made in his interview in the Inter County Leader recently. He is NOT going to see Howard Stern in Feb 2009. A tune that he wrote/recorded for a nationally known coffee chain will NOT be considered for use by that company! The so called "celebrity testimonials" on his website were all a fraud. Mr Swanson, I suggest that you begin to act responsibly if you wish to be anything other than what you currently are. You were given a wonderful chance and you blew it big time. My apologies go out to the many people who were supporting what they believed was someone of credible character.

Ms. Ganzer is now receiving threatening e-mail that are anonymously posted on her website regarding her working relationship with Mr Swanson, or should I say, the now lack of it. If you have the balls to write it, have the balls to print your name so that she knows who her enemies are! Mr. Swanson, call off your hounds, Ms. Ganzer has worked hard to get where she is, you have NOT! I suggest that you put those sour grapes away...admit what you really are, a "wanna be." Then move on in your life.

I cannot believe the unmitigated audacity that he displayed by going to the Luck library and reaming Diane out in front of everyone. It was a title HE gave to her, NOT One she asked for...the work she did for him she did so willingly, with no thought of repayment or reward. It was done out of the goodness of her heart---quite simply, her way of being unselfish. When he took complete advantage of her, much like a pimp who abuses his whores, she then struck back, but only when he backed her in a corner so tight, she felt trapped.

Just to let one and all know, that after the brouhaha at the Luck Library on Nov 15th, Chris Swanson slapped a RESTRAINING order against Diane Ganzer, simply because she went to his house after he literally hunted her down at the library,(going so far as to call her a "fuckin' whore," in front of everyone.) She wanted a simple explanation of why he did what he did. Now, keep in mind that she took a birthday present to his house, leaving it on the porch for him, along with a sweet goodbye note, wishing him well in the future. She was all ready to put this in the past, then he resurrected it by his actions. He also threatened that he would see to it that she lost her job, destroy her writing career, that he had to go through several attorneys before finding one that would take his "case" against her, this being alleged misrepresentation and defamation of his character. Seems to me it was CHRIS who defamed HER, not the other way around! Three attorneys, Chris? Really? do you think you're going to win??? I highly doubt it! But, if you like to waste money, then so be it. The restraining order from Polk County alone was $155.00 hard earned dollars!!! I may say, seeing as how you live in a trailer park, that doesn't say a lot for your station in life.
Move on, leave Diane alone and drop the order. Here's a scenario...what happens when the judge tells you at the injunction hearing on Dec 1st that the case has been dropped due to a lack of evidence...? Will you do something else to "get back at her?"
Remember folks, she went out of her way to help him become published. Then he admitted that he used her for that benefit alone. How chivalrous!

there is a four year restraining order against Diane until 2012. This is a travesty of justice in that it was Christopher Swanson who created the trouble in the very first place, making a scene at her book signing in Luck. Way to go, Mr Swanson, you looked like such an ass. In four years, Diane will be certain to look you up, if only to ask...hey, how many copies have YOU sold lately??? go figure. here is something I found on the Burnett county Sentinel webpage, written by Abby...interesting and still timely...
