Yes, but their families will, no doubt, prove what scum they are and try to sue.

It's the world we live in. It's always someone else's fault.

If they don't sue, may their loved ones rest in peace.

There were off duty cops there. they saw nothing wrong with this South America style rally AFV's stuff. They're too used to checkpoints.

Sucks when you loose part of your family.

You would think that in the event of an emergency they would have an AMR unit on scene just in case, however you have to give the fire department some credit, first unit on scene got there in little over 30 minutes and requested 5 airships as soon as they arrived on scene, and within 5 minutes of being on scene another 5 airships were rounded up and dispatched to the scene. If you seen the footage on the internet one would wonder why where people allowed so close to the vehicles. Prayers go out to the families that lost a loved one.

Without a doubt!

Not did they ignore signs to stay 120 feet from the course, they started throwing rocks at the driver of the truck that went out of control!!

Talk about inbreeding at its worst!

So Darwinism, you must go to those stick and ball games. Like the quality soccer fans who don't riot, the Laker fans who don't riot, or Raider nation fans who are so nice to everyone.
At least I have the balls to post my real name

The idiots to whom you are referring are thugs who use their so-called loyalty to those teams as an excuse to cause trouble. They use any excuse to do so.

People like you are merely dumb enough not to see through it. They are not fans. Fans represent their teams with class & dignity.

Educate yourself regarding the people who participate in this sport. Search on-line blogs about desert racing and actually read how these people interact before you judge. I followed one blog with 57 pages of posting and was impressed by their commitment to treat each other with respect. Offers of prayers, food, counseling and financial support. Admonishments for those who reacted out of anger and insensitivity--you could take a lesson. You are wrong in your estimation of their intelligence and human value.

No, you're wrong. Anyone who started assaulting the driver of the truck should have been arrested.

Admonishments. Give me a break.

Tell you what. If not one lawsuit comes out of this, I will admit I was wrong. Until then, I stand by my posts.

My nephew was actually there--smart enough to be watching from a safe distance. The rock throwing did not happen--that was an erroneous report according to those who were actually there. Off-duty EMT's, firemen and policemen immediately began triage and were instrumental in helping those who were not instantly killed. It was not smart to stand so close to the race track and that is something that does need to be better monitored...but those who died were not morons or by-products of inbreeding. You are being extremely insensitive.

If they don't run to the courthouse and take responsibility for their decision to stand so close, I will agree with you whole heartedly. Only time will tell.

Anyone with half a brain new this was a tragedy waiting to happen - what fools to risk their lives this way. IQ's of early prehistoric primates.
