Ask your school board why they allow that.

Just putting more people on welfare. Suspension, maybe, although they would still enjoy that. make them do work under supervision and stay in school.

Well what's the rules on having a loaded gun at school? I have two children that go to the high school,. Should I be worried as a parent of the safety of my kids?

Youre kidding, right? You should ALWAYS worry about your kids when they are in the hands of our school system. The only thing they are interested in is how much money they will receive for having your children in their school. If something were to happen to your children while in their care, the parent is who they blame LOL! If the parents were doing their job at home..... yadda yadda yadda. NEVER trust the public school system!

The demonization of firearms because of these shootings is ridiculous. If it is a small child then the parents should be reprimanded for neglect. If it is an adolescent who is not brandishing the firearm, but simply has it in their possession it should not be questioned whatsoever by anyone.

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

I dont know about you, but I don't see an age restriction, I think I might see the part where it says not in schools....no wait it doesn't say that either. It has not always been the law that guns were illegal on school grounds and it should not be illegal now.

How are you or your teenager any different from a peace officer?

Can a cop or teacher not go on a killing spree? Dorner is a prime example.

What if he was the "School Safety Officer"?

The next question you need to ask yourself is: Am I a responsible enough parent to raise my child to respect firearms, be diligent, and vigilant while possesing them?

If every teacher or student could conceal carry a handgun, how many lives could it have saved at Sandy Hook, Virginia Tech, or Columbine?

If passengers on planes, trains, buses, and boats were allowed to carry how many lives do you think it would have saved in New York on 911?

What was the Sandy Hook shooters problem? The responsibility falls on the parents who should have better disciplined, educated, and given proper nourishment to their children's emotions.

Guns are not the problem, mistakes in parenting are the problem. That goes for the 911 terrorists as well the climate in which they were raised is one that encourages martyrdom. Do you encourage your children to act violently? Do you raise them in an environment of high stress and encourage poor decision making?

Do you leave your guns where they are accessible by children or adolescents you dont want handling them?

Would you place bleach on the table in front of your infant and tell them not to drink it? Lets get serious people its not the kids or the guns that are the problem.

I would rather have my "child" armed and able to protect himself, his friends and his teacher than to have him be murdered with no way to defend himself.

We are all dumber now after reading that!! Arm kids! Come on. So they would get mad and shoot each other!! I have children of my own and many guns but not gone let them carry them around. This is not the middle east. We don't train our kids to be killers. This topic is on a kid that had loaded gun at school and is not expelled. If it was my kid he or she would be expelled!!!!! Parents or not it is not right!!!!

Im not telling you to arm your 6 year old but if the "kid" is responsible enough to drive a 4k pound killing machine, he should be responsible enough to have a gun. In 3 years or less he could be fighting the wars of old men as a Marine overseas.

I got my first gun at the age of 9 (birthday gift), it hung on my bedroom wall and I have NEVER shot nor killed ANYONE. My parents taught me to respect guns and how and when to use them. I raised my children the same way.... and guess what, they have NEVER shot nor killed anyone either.

I was born and raised in GC... My truck that I drove, all 4 years in High School, had a gun rack and ALWAYS had at least one weapon in it... ALWAYS... The "thug" culture didn't exist in those days... I guess we're living in a different time now...Terrible shame George County can't stay behind the times.... Geez I miss the old days..... Other side of the coin, if, like my Dad and Grandpa said, If i don't know you're putting this gun in the truck, it's just as bad as you stealing it from me.AND I'd get my butt beat.. Guess, maybe, it's coming back down to parenting....

No. They are grown with children of their own. We didnt trust the gov. to educate our children. But its a great system for those who do not care about what the gov. chooses to teach.

Rules are rules. The boy should be expelled. Mine would be.
