Is this just the beginning? Not only is Big Brother watching, but if the Democrats in Washington State have their way, sheriffs will have the power to "inspect" homes to make sure people are storing their firearms properly. What's next?

If you finish reading the report the "Democrats" are admitting the Bill is in bad form and should not be allowed. I'm sure there are extremists on both sides trying to get things passed, hopefully cooler heads will prevail.

Scoop, As I suggested before, Please research a tad more before reporting. that bill didn't even make it out of the office before it was dropped. We need to be more worried about the U.N. searching homes before we need to worry about the Sheriff. I must commend our Governor for stepping up against the house about the gun control and Obamacare.

I like yourself, think the U.N. may think they have enough power to enter our citizen's home, but I do not believe local Sheriffs would. Might cause a lot of excitement. lol

Believe it or not, some democrats do not beleive in gun control but some will always push for useless legislation of guns.

I agree, that being said, there are Republicans that think there should be some sort of gun law change, but will not vote for it. I also think it is just stupid for any representative of our government to just vote to follow Party Lines when they know it is just the wrong way to go, Republicans and Democrats included.

Yes, if its wrong and wasteful, it doesn't matter the party affiliation. Portland Regional Office is sending notice to local Disabled Veterans threatening to use The Brady Bill to take away 2nd Amendment Rights. It works like this: Every Disabled Veteran is evaluated for their competency to manage their VA Benefit check. This "evaluation" is done in each and every Compensation Examination without directly asking the Veteran any questions

I'm a 100%er and on the VA's mailing list. Have not heard or seen any such evidence. I also have a competent spouse and good lawyers, so this is not a threat to my situation as I can see it.. I also know that the ACLU would be dancing like you poured a pound of fire ants down their pants if this situation happened to the Disabled Americans. There would also be some excitement from DAV, VFW, American Legion, and Heaven knows how many other groups. Not to mention how plain everyday good Americans would raise such an uproar in this country that every elected official would jump on the band wagon to save the DISABLED VETS. Some people seem to enjoy problems for veterans, wonder why?

Yes, I do talk A LOT about government intrusions, When I do, it's about the Federal level of the government and the way they cozy up to the U.N. As i stated, I am more worried about members of the U.N.'s military to invade my home , I highly doubt that a local deputy would follow such orders as shooting an unarmed local citizen because the Fed told them too. You are correct in the government looking for ways to drastically change the second amendment but I don't see anything that drastic happening here. All being said, for the most, As proved with Katrina, When the crap gets serious in George county, the majority of the citizens, law or not, work together to help each other.

I believe our local law enforcement are people just like the rest of us. I do not worry that they will try to harm citizens. There are always a hand full of folks that would like to rule over others, but hopefully citizens would have the courage to stand up and take charge. I, too, have concerns on a federal level.
