I live in town and pay the same taxes as everybody else as far as I know, but I don't receive the same services. I have lived here for seven years and was told soon after we moved here that city sewer was going to be put in, it must be a lot more difficult than I thought, after all seven years is long enough. I was told, many for some reason do not want it in our area, but for the life of me I do not understand why. Neighbors I have talked to said they wanted the city sewer, so we'll see.

No need to get in a hurry lol. Sounds like the world is going to end in town if we lose the prisoners.

Sewer system been in, just the connections here and there need completing. Ms Moulds will make sure you stay in line though. Don't gripe or she'll make you regret it, like she has any competition anyway. So vote her back in or else!

There is no sewer line in our neighborhood at all. Engineers have been out here, surveyed and put flags up where the line will go 3 or 4 years ago, still nothing.

I know they have a main sewer line. Probably just need to hook into it. Drainage is pretty lacking though.

@just-wondering-I may be wrong, but I thought the city wanted the residents of the last annexed area (the rest of the city has water and sewer) to pay a percentage of the cost to install the water and sewer. I believe they said all the residents of the affected area had to agree. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

I personally have only lived down here for 7 years and am not sure where the latest annexation covered. I live near the radio station and I am fairly sure that the area I live in has been incorporated in the town for many years. Even though this is not an annexed part of town the residents were still asked to give the town "right of way" to put in the system and a large amount had a problem with doing that, even though the system was paid for and maintained by the town, just don't get it myself. My suggestion is put it in for the people that want it, and the people that want to connect during a mandate or when their system fails, just pay to hook into the system.

The area to the bridge on 198 west and the area down beaver dam to hwy 98west was annexed in the last couple of years. It was told that the new citizens would have to hook up to the citys' resources, approximately a thousand dollars a mile.

That's what they told us in the 90s' when they tried to annex that area but with the amount of opposition against, Mayor Lee called it a 'dead dog'. One guy asked if he could keep his water well. He was told he would have to hook into the city water supply. Lot of people didn't like that.

That is, if the board will agree to it.
