What do you think of him as a vet?

Do you know anyone who has worked for him in the past?

Was this man arrested or investigated for arson to a house with someone and animals passing away?

Never used him - it was in the paper that he was arrested a good while back, but know nothing about that either.

It was just in the George County Times several months ago in the regular arrest.

We have used Bruce for years and years and I have nothing to say about him that would be negative. He came to our house both times that our elderly/sick dogs had to be put down. He was very compassionate about the whole process. I know for a fact that he has found homes for many stray animals that had been thrown away by their owners. I don't know what was in the GCT, but I would recommend him to anybody wanting quality care for their animal.

I have used Dr. Byrd for all my animals since Dr. Randy Craig left. I have known Dr. Byrd since he was the high school band director in the 80's. Top notch vet, compassionate, and reasonable on fee's. Just my 2 cents.

I seem to remember that the "Bruce Byrd" in the paper was another person. Can't say enough good about the vet. He has been wonderful to our pets. One should be very careful about spreading rumors on these posts.

It was him and it was in the GC Times. I cannot tell you what came of it, and just because someone was arrested does not mean they are guilty. It had something to do with him being at a house that had burned down. I cannot tell you the details. I feel sure he is a fine vet, I have no animals - I knew his people all my life and they were fine folks.

I think he happened to get arrested on the same night the house burned for an UNRELATED alcohol-related thing and the gossips in Lucedale suddenly decided he was the one who had killed the man that burned up in the house. It's total nonsense and he's a good vet. Yall need to think about things before you put something this damaging on this site. Poison gossip.

If he's a good vet, I couldn't care less about his personal life :-)

If you are talking to me, I have put nothing damaging on here. I was simply stating the facts. Arrest are a matter of public record, the arrest said nothing about alcohol.

They are all good but only one is economical enough, the others are too expensive.

If you have a true grievance with him, you should deal with it in the proper way. It is not nice to try to smear someone, simply becauseyou have a problem with them. All people make mistakes, in all lines of work. If you dont like him dont use him.

Good vet sometimes short with people but compassionate. Dr Byrd and many others lost a very good friend in a house fire on Mill St Ext. He had nothing to do with the fire. That's what you get for listening to crap town gossip...a bunch of crap CILLA:-\
