I work hard at my job every day. I get up and go to work even if I would rather be anywhere else. In fact, my world revolves around this job that provides for my family. It goes all through me to see this community so lazy. Holding signs along the road, spending all day scrapping to get enough cash for drugs, kids running around malnourished and dirty, soda in their bottles and candy for dinner.(By the way, ladies, ever heard of birth control? Good lord so many of you do not need or deserve the kids you chose to have!) Mom's at the gas station loading up on her food stamp card goodies from the snack shelf. Dad out robbing his neighbors and peers to get his fix. Can't trust anyone. The sense of entitlement from these folks is unsettling. And we're about to embark the 1st of the month once more, so the cycle continues. You're welcome, from a taxpayer who won't have any assistance when I need it after working hard all my life. There's something wrong with that. I silently cuss you in my head when I see you. Freeloaders...

Until the jobs come back to this area, there's no end in sight.

I see signs all over the place needing help. But the ppl in this town are to good to work for a living. I know 1 girl that's on welfare and walks to and from work in a bar for her welfare check and hopes the place will give her a full time job. I see nothing wrong with her getting a welfare check. She takes good care of her kids and should be payed more. My hats off to her. I think all these people should have to work somewhere or not get a check. There always paper on the road or weeds needing cut

They say they receive more gov't assistance than if they worked at these places that only over less than 30 hrs per week.
Idk, just what I keep hearing from people.
Of course, my solution to that would be to work 2 jobs.

Thats just it a lot of places that work you part time work you all different hours how could you work 2 part time jobs with hours like that. I know a nother girl that work for a place called S.e.S or something like that in Portsmouth that only worked her a few hours in the morning and then she had to go back in inthe after noon and work a few more hours that's bullshit . How could people make two trips to work a day and only work 5 or 6 hours a day with gas prices almost 4 dollars. And must jobs around here will not give you any benefits and that's something you've got to have. Nowonder their is so many people on welfare. Don't get me wrong a lot of people get welfare that shouldnt , and they spend it in the wrong ways. I seen times I would of loved to get some food stamps but my wife and I have both worked all our lifes and raised 5 kids on what we make , but I think we've been lucky compared to most. So place don't put everyone in the same class just because they get welfare.

I of course was speaking of the ones whom abuse it, and don't even try to be a contributing member of society... Kudos to those of you who get off your asses to make it. To those who 'can't find' work, perhaps it isn't what you want to do, but it pays. But you'll turn it down cos it doesn't pay what you want, and complain there are no jobs. Some don't even try to keep their job, half-assing their performance. I've seen em come and go where I work. Always hiring, but people don't want to work. Say they do, but don't even try...

I agree with you a lot of worthless people. I know a bunch of them to. Only a few that get the welfare don't really want to be on it. If they would make everyone on it work for it they would be a lot less on the programs that's for sure. Lol

i think that thereis a difference between getting help & living on the shit though, look @ the hookers, that is wrong, they live off of the shit just so that they can walk the streets for their next needle full, now that is immoral.

The people who are too lazy work and remain on welfare are most of Obama's 47 per cent.
And the "Brainsucker" is just some doofus trying to put people on.

what's bullshit? That she took a job that had those hours? They know the hours before they accept the job. If they didn't like the hours than don't take the job. No one is making her work there.

well let me just tell u this i worked off an owf check and i worked 38 hours a week my check ended up being $2.13 an hour and i worked my ass off so when they r out there working for their check really its not that much but they work for it but when they r sitting on their asses doing nothing and getting one well i don't think they should be allowed to have em if they can't get out and work for them then maybe as bad as i hate to say it go and sign up for ssi or something because face it this will never go away because it is to easy for them to get them and keep them and maybe if they drug test them the gov. would not have so much going out if it was mandatory for them to pass a drug test then most of the ones on it would be took off

Yeah, I cannot think of one person who would disagree about the drug testing, unless of course you're ON drugs. Heh...
