I urge all village residents to vote for the challenger, Donna Smith, in the upcoming election for Village Mayor. While I truly believe that our current mayor's heart is in the right place, we've become so fiscally conservative that we cannot possibly grow or move forward.

It strikes me odd that the current administration's largest accomplishments, per their own words in the Watertown Daily Times, are that they elected not to beatuify downtown with ornate light poles in the upcoming road project, and elected to move away from downtown with their offices as a cost savings. In my opinion, these were both huge mistakes. They've also shown no progress towards improving the blight of the busy corner or the blight of the current burnout.

It's time for a change.

Amen, brother! Let's not forget the walking trail that they shot down. Every opportunity that has come up for an improvement has been politely swept under the carpet and forgotten by the next meeting.

If you want money spent on frivilous projects, then vote for Donna smith. She'll vote to spend on anything.
ODB- obviously one of the well off in Lowville that likes spending other people's money.

Creating a stronger business and community climate isn't frivolous in my opinion. There's a reason that shops sit empty so long in downtown. Times have changed, and unless we can learn to adapt I'm afraid that our village will continue to wither.

she is virklers b*tch and would create a mess if she were elected...she is a disorganized air head, that is why her business went bankrupt...
Her campaign slogan would be "your so funny!"

How would the walking trail improve the ECONOMIC status of the area and not be just another expense?

Ironic perhaps... but you called someone an air head and managed to misuse the word "your" when "you're" would have been appropriate.

Will you please site where you learned that her business went bankrupt? I was under the impression that she sold her business to the Richards.
