Want to solve the "parked car" dilema? Don't lock your car.

If your car is parked and unlocked, anything illegal found in the car (except the trunk) could have been planted by someone else and you, the owner, could not be legally convicted of possession.

On the flip side, park and lock your car and the objects inside are yours.

Do they actually have $2,000 worth of razors on the shelf at once,or was the loot taken from a storeroom?

Come on guys, these losers stole a lot of stuff to resell. It isn't like they swiped a sandwich. How do we know there's no video? Retail stores don't advertise this sort of thing. AND.... they STOLE it. As for those who say no video, no arrest: I'd like to see your reaction if somebody came into your home and stole your stuff. Would it be ok with you as long as it's not on tape? I doubt it; you'd want to nail their hides to the wall.
uticas leaders do it every year with tax payers money and its all recorded on papers but sometimes they misaproprate the money and or lose the paper work for hud moneys and gro west

so when planting drugs all they have to do is shut the door thanks to you .... but i highly dought people even leave illegal items in car ... and would leave the doors unlocked ,,

I cant techniclly answer this but the cost of razors has become outrageous, so it wouldn't take nearly as many as we imagine to steal that amounts worth. The refill cartriges for mine are somewhere close to $20 for 4 of them. Granted they do a way better job than the POS disposable bics so they're worth the extra cost since you dont have to spend the money you save by going cheaper, on a blood transfusion.

Listen if there is probable cause they could detain any individual and they have to invintory the property of the person or vehical so they are covered from theft. Ifnthe cop saw or heard something to make him suspect something they ask to search, if premision os given they do it. If something is in plain sight they can search it end of story.

hey cuba,ny, both dudes have warrants out on them, both have suspended licenses, and when the cops searched the vehicle before towing it, they found the needles, and the razors. a short time later they found out that the razors were stolen from walmart.

Oh yeah,I guess so. I know how expensive the blades are but $2,000 seems quite large next to "disposable razors"...

that razors are a hot commodity for drug addicts to sell - this is a no brainer. It was an inside job -- wally look at your associates - thievery starts at home!!!!

BTW - everytime you buy that "deal" off the street - your raising the cost of everything for the rest of us. Your a thief also!

Someone told me that the price of Tide (and all) detergent has gone up and made that a hot commodity among thieves as well. They sell it at local coin-op laundries a cup at a time I'm told.

This sounds ridiculous to me. Is it true?

well I have heard that somewhere in the south, maybe Ga? That there was someone who had been "hijacking", for lack of a better word, truckloads of laundry detergent and had an entire warehouse full when they caught him/them. Thats a lotta damn soap to steal and how long do you think that operation went on before they finally got caught? And why would you keep it in a warehouse? Why not get rid of it as soon as you can before getting caught?

It was in the news for about 30 seconds awhile ago so I'm not sure Im getting the whole story correct but I think overall that was pretty much the point of the story.
